In the last 8 days few mines were lost in average per day (~10 mines). Clearly no new MC will start now to get mines, and the average will stay around the same value. The MCs will just defend their properties and that's all. Few will fall. So what's the point? It's necessary for MCs to reach a certain value of their battle glory?

Maybe not all. Per Arctic from https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=2035542&page=3#32118237 :

Military clans gain 3% of all wages paid in facilities on any map subdistrict they control. If the MC controls an entire district (North, West, South, East subdistricts all at once), then the gain is 5%. If the MC controls an entire location (4 districts, or 16 subdistricts), then the gain is 7%.

I bet you the Titans right now are waiting for the other clans to relinquish (in one way or another) control of the non-Titans owned facility in Titans' Valley. You know, just like what that second ranked clan (Ukrainia? My Russian is non-existent...) did. I believe this "event" will not end until the admins introduce a way to encourage facility takeover. You guys better start talking with the other clans in your districts. Maybe peacefully trade facilities to get improved bonuses? There's going to be war, gentlemen. XD
if this is a prelude to a more permanent thing i.e the clan wars, wouldn't the mechanics "favour" the richer clans/players who can afford to battle in max enchanted gear?

I suppose that after this event is over, there might be some auctions to make clans spend earned gold. After that, there could be something like clan wars over something (more arts, more gold, more everything).

This all favours big and strong, the rest is just a game plankton for the big fish.

This would prevent a few powerful MCs owning up most of the facilities and will force them to prioritize which facility to keep and which ones to let go. This in turn will allow other MCs to also prosper a bit :)

Strongly disagree, the big MC should have same terms as everybody else, like they do now.

The 2 daily defence and the 250 cap makes it impossible for one MC to grab all.
And there is plenty mines to go for from the rest of us.

I think this sweet spot is 16 facilities in 1 sector. MC will get 7% of wages from each facility. After that, each next facility (17th, 18th) will earn just a regular 3%. It is extremely hard to control much more while benefit from that is low. So each facility over 16is just a 'rotation' facility.
We are talking about 16 faacilities here... but .com hasnt been able to keep 5+ in good health... we had disadvantages in terms of gears/fsp but its only obvious now they are twice more skilled and dedicated than us.

I don't think they are more or less skilled or dedicated than the english speaking community.

5+ mines can easily be defended if we had enough active players. We are just to few. The truth is that our community can support 1-2 big MC with the current amount of English speaking players on this merged server.

We have 5+ MC's atm. Nothing wrong with that in itself, but again it comes down to amount of active players not skill or even our fsp disadvantages imo.

So how can we explain this:
1. When A&D got 6 facilities, we got at least 2 facilities attacked in the same time with the third being attacked 20 minutes after. So only a strong heavy enchanted team could win the first defense and had time to move and defend the third attack.
This means we needed 63 members that were online at that time, had enough time to play for the defense and had enough gold to wear at least full AP.

2. #104 Titans has 18 facilities. I'm sure they have 3-4 facilities to defend at once, at least 2-3 times a day. This means a lot of members being online and ready to defend them.
How can they keep on doing this if not for more hard core players who has more money to invest in arts?
