6 battle as classic DE experiencing many buils: bad result, at best finish second.
2 battle as defensive TDE: both become last man standing

the faction bias is so strong haha

but the shadow barb is more suitable for this battle because of their lower ai agro and their tribal spirit level can't be brought down once it hit 200+ spirit.
sky shamans and ogre magi are big fat guys taking all the wins in this tournament. Just goes to show that the tournament is in its primitive state.
AI priorities are very very significant. My Sphinx immortals get targeted straight off from every opponent no matter what I do. On the other hand some stacks just get ignored, which is frustrating to me, because as a DoF caster part of my strategy is when two armies start thrashing it out I help out the losing party by removing the defence of the opponent. I did this to a stack of guardians hoping that a full stack of fortune genies would hit it, instead they just cast luck on some random stack that got killed moments later.

Thats life though, my main problem is that the fights are too long because the AI waits periodically to try and fool us into not knowing who it is. Not that it works for long before you know. It would be good if you could vote for who you think the real player is (once and once only and at any time). IF you both get it right then it removes this feature to save time.

Need to share this battle, look at the necro army for lvl14...
Does in minor tournament+ there is seperate top for every faction
And what is, FPS:XP. Ratio for places. From my battles second places have better FPS:XP than first place, same goes to 3rd place.
I'm thinking to start this this tournament to farm some fsp. I have 4 castles Demon/necro/elf/DE. Which of them has the best odds in this tournament. I understand that Tribals and Barbs rules now but don't want to spend money yet for complete castles. Any advice about pros and cons for Necro/Elf/DE are welcome. Thinking to drink only one skill potion.
Without any doubt go with nature UN among those four options. Firewall+raise dead build.

Like every other group battle, i suppose you've never played any, Your exp and fsp depend entirely on your 'contribution' or rather how many enemies you directly killed.
So what if you were the puppeteer behind the shadows, making them all kill each other, you would still get no exp from it.
tldr: your position is irrelevant, its how many enemies you kill which determine your exp. If you want exp i suggest going gung ho.

Anyways, i had a hypothesis which i confirmed myself. The game switched to a PvE as soon as the other player dies. i.e. you can leave mid game and come back a while later to see that your game was switched to auto mode but when the other player was defeated , it paused the game.

So what if the other player goes afk? Still then you're the one in control. So if the other player times out and is switched to auto mode, now also it counts as a PvE match so in this case too you can leave mid battle to come back where you left off.

But there it starts to get annoying. There's no way to skip the 'pretend to be human AI s' they take like 10-20 seconds for every action and what is that action? to wait. or defend. It starts to get frustrating real fast.

Btw, in this it's fairly noticeable, the enemy A.I. is different from player's auto-battle. the auto battle, like always, is fairly aggressive and moves instantly whereas the enemy AI is defensive/wait-and-watch and takes years to make a move.

I would agree a fire wall UN necro build will also do well.

Defensive DD may have a place as well

To farm you want a large stack of something that has good odds to survive (large numbers, low AI priority and some speed). For UN it may be as simply as moving a stack to an area which you know will be isolated in the end game, so you can raise it when you need to) whereas obviously it is minos and fiends/abyss for DD.

You also need the rest of your army to be able to push out some damage in quick bursts so you can strategically overwhelm an enemy or one hit most things. area affect magic is good for this given the close proximity of so many stacks.
it takes too long for a battle. remove the timer for ai maybe??
Just had a battle with a 29 sp necro decay build with full zombies, if that was a player would have surely got tonnes of xp easily killed almost everyone's troops

exp and fsp based on damage dealt x winner/place multiplier.

best exp and fsp amount and ratio will be for last man standing who also dealt most damage. the worst exp and fsp is for lords who eliminated first before do any significant damage.
The problem is that AI only logic is to kill the weakest guy no matter what. This leads to situations where a destruction AI kept casting on my 75% magic resistance golems while a tamer AI attacked him from start and eventually killed him almost single handedly without being cast on. I on the other hand barely attacked him (well I eventually tried as obviously he wouldn't leave me alone...).

Plus the fact that some players can defend for like 4 (hero turns) with no problem and end up winning... I think it would be much more interesting if the only objective is to kill the most regardless of when you have no troops left (the formula is already here since it's what determines the exp you get in group battles) and would stop lame strategies of camp while everyone kill one another, promote aggressive and opportunistic behaviour for shorter and hopefully more fun battles. As it stands, you win not by killing but by not being killed.

you also need ability to burst agresive stack near you and some sort of crowd control ability.

2 Loses till now, thanks to Disruption Barbs who just can't seem to die.
Exp gained seems to be fixed?
Not getting 50-60k exp now for 1st rank, not just me, checked logs of some others too.
