| Why it's so hard to come by mercenaries achievement!!It has a little picture before the fight then you know that you will get achievement if you will win!I came by that one time and lost:)!is there a trick to get more often or you just have to play a ton!?! | There are many mercenary quests you just haven't gotten far in some of the ones where you can get an achievement in.
Besides, those achievements are also faction based so you might be looking at them with a faction that could easily beat them or a faction that has been around for a lot more years so the quests might've been pushed more to their limits.

Keep in mind, once someone beats your record then you lose the achievement.
From memory, if you skip a quest it should be a lot less likely to come up (or not come up at all for a certain amount of time or something along those lines but I am not sure on this one).
If a quest is close to a record setting / achievement, it has a higher chance to come up (this is from memory again so I am again not sure on this one).
If you keep skipping quests and focus on one certain quest then eventually you will be reaching those limits/records and once it is higher than the record set already then you can get an achievement. Remember again that it is faction specific, what might be a record on pharaoh might as well be nothing to elf.
Be aware that where you get the MG quest also has different chances of giving certain quests e.g., 24% chance of an army quest in East River while 7% chance of the army quest in Fairy Trees.

summarized trick: skip irrelevant quests, focus on one, stay at the corresponding region with higher chances of getting that type of quest.
