Necro Faction Topic

AuthorNecro Faction Topic
Edit:
Sorry, my above post was referring to the demon vanguard fights only.

But the general theory still stands for all other fights. Skellies for damage while infected are for against enemies with very high stats.
Which ones would be better for thieving? And how about talents?
for Darksooth:
infected zombies are very useful for thieving during combat level 8-10.while vampires are useless if you are with min ap(they die too fast before they can leech anything).
for true-goon:
Only if you want to use them in Merc Monster fights or the current war immediately. They aren't as critical as the Skelebow upgrade
ok thx
Any tips for thieving (recruiting, talents, skill points, general tactic)? I just leveled to level 9 and they suddenly got so much harder compared to the army I received :'(
Well some levels (like level 9 where you get like nothing-- level 13 i think also like that), thieving will be hard because caravans get more troops than you get. At level 10 it will be easier since you get more troops + apparation upgrade
for darksooth:
my strategy is max inf.zombies, liches, then vamp and skeleton, and get a few ghosts to take retal.take vitallity talent.
dont rush too fast(especially for vampires) since zombies are very slow, let the skelletons to suffer enemy ranged fires(with vitally talent, skelletons are very good tank), and wait for zombies to reach the enemy. this strategy is defensive, and very good against magic carverns(wizard or de), also good agianst knight, barb and necro, but weak against elf and demon.

another strategy is max ghosts, vamp, lich, skelleton and have no zombies.take the domi. of life talent.the key is to keep on raising ghosts.this is a more offensive strategy, but very much dependent on your luck(ghosts' miss),and there is no chance to win against carvern of wizard or de.
and besides, since necro is not a first-round-strike faction, defense is very important for necro.(sometimes even more important than attack.)
so in my opinion, you need to take a defender shield.
In full arts, it seems pretty easy.

However, should I go with rings of abdication (+10 initiative, -2 defense) or for rings of doubts (+2 luck)? Money is not a problem :)
There can be no question, if you are rich enough to do ambush in full arts, then go for ring of doubts. Initiative will have no big impact on our slow units (especialy zombies), while luck of course ...
In full arts, it seems pretty easy.

its the begining:)

the real pain is tg2 and up when u face 20 raging cyclops:(

Ranor is right
ring of doubts is better

nothing can do better than luck for slow stacks

good luck
I will suggest you to stop thieving full arts :) Eventually they will become too hard, so it's better now than latter. I was first thieving full arts to get to lvl 2 TG and return the TGI to the lender and I did that in 5 or 6 days I think, than I slowly switched to min AP and I had to loose a lot a lot of times, but now I'm fully enyoing min AP thiefing and it's great! :) Just think about it, despite your big amount of gold, you will never have too much of it, believe me :)
They just to hard for me :) that's why I'm doing them in full arts. Of course, I'll take some breaks for losing in min ap too.
as long as you realise that you overall winning rate will be constant if you never change arts (due to dynamic balancing)
Exactly ;) They just need some time to realize that :P
