would make the game too complicated.It will b too much of a labour to check out on all of the abilities
it gets complicated
lazy dogs... life is complicated :p It is not mandatory everyone looks into this. Too hard for you, stroddle ahead...

I suppose that others should also have an equal chance to forge
Everyone can build the blacksmith (post level 6), everyone is allowed and able to increase their SG level. So I don't see how this is an unequal chance...

It cannot be just good-for-smith-update
Ranger guild update was a just good-for-rangers-update, or just good-for-nonthieves-update. I, as thief had no benefit from RG update.
White-holy knight altgrade, dark-demon altgrade, hyper-nekrofilia necro altgrade, all these were good-for-knight/demon/necro-updates.
And so on... more examples abound...

Not every update significantly touches everyone in the Realm. Nor is it good for everyone either.
So stop slamming down any idea that doesn't benefit you, personally.

Blacksmith workers (either smiths or enchanters) make a huge investment. Hardly ever returned to them before they die of old age. That should be taken into consideration.
Besides, adding diversity/variety in the game would be good.

So I'm in for any such ideas that come along these lines.
This idea is great! but dont get me wrong, there are alot of flaws..
1> This isnt an rpg game its and if u implement this idea the rich will get more richer
2> Dependence over admins/Empire will fall coz those who are able to smith weapons they may sell to market lower than the artifact and they are not even buying from the artifact shop or facilities
3> Facilities may not earn and therefore not able to hire workers <chance falls to 100% to 97-90% over 500 players dont get job> <just a theory>
4> With arts comes the materials. Work for developers increases

these and much more in a way can imbalance the economy.The other games which provide which such facility already have it all planned out <Balancing Thingy :)>

There are many merits too but for now this idea is not needed for now we need smiths not weapon manufacturers :) -1

do you realise that this thing, ability to forge artifacts will create imbalance of ammunition points? The max ammunition for any level right now consists of X ap and it remains same throughout the level.

Now, if we let some capable smiths like you to create stuff without much restriction, i'd atleast wish to know how frequently its gonna be. Else it requires us to keep a check on the market prior to every battle.

If creating artifacts is limited to making of artifacts with high durablity

It would be good to have more variety in game but It cannot be just good-for-smith-update.
"forger's guild", where all start at the same level.
