Just fill yourself in anger, and do it how you'd in any other situation: punch it in its face! Or join us in the loadstone club. At my lvl, you can recruit 19 lores; so say you split in 6*3, you can effectively punch for 85 dmg per stack, that's 10 dead golems per turn, you can punch up to 5 times, that's 50 dead golems. Then you can deal with the rest the old way (fisty way with creatures), or keep punching with your hero.
Good ol' golem will never catch you anyway, so it's a war of attrition... If we don't get any magic resistance, we're just good to be fried; can't compete with flying fortresses. | The greatest issue with balancing the new wiz is that it needs to be competitive versus fast and agressive factions like DE or demon. If we don't get PLENTY of troops, we might as well give up right at the beginning. This game never supported chaos/might hybrids, you're either one or another. To make it viable, we needed some cheat, and this cheat is having more stats due to racial and insane recruit counts.
On the other hand, those recruit counts that give us even chances against might builds are totally unfair vs casters. Loads of hp, most of it with HUGE magic resistance, I am really worried if I will ever want to play regular wiz in PvP if things stay like they are now. You have pretty much no way to deal with genies, 40 of them just smash your army before you can blink. To make things worse, most battlewise wizards will use dom of fire, good luck defending with your gargs! :)
I believe the balance we need is not a big, general nerf for BW, because against might factions it's pretty even, maybe a tiny bit OP, but certainly not much. I hope admins don't cut, like, half of our fortune genies and make the alt unplayable. Let wizzies have some fun in CG :D Perhaps some vulnerability to magic to make it more fair? Or decrease genies' magic resistance to 50%? | I am really worried if I will ever want to play regular wiz in PvP if things stay like they are now
Just play regular wiz might ;)
Jk, it's true that it's way too hard for a magic player against the new wiz, especially if he has lodestone golems + fortune genies build.
But the fact that lodestone golems fall very fast against might may make battle wizards choose to recruit less of them, as there are more chances to meet a might player than a magic player as far as I have seen. |
