| Although all of the complaints against the game have reason behind them, I still enjoy the tournament. Even though I lose a lot, the extra faction points and experience are worth the irritation of being ganged up on. |
What i dont understand is some tactics by other players.

I played against 3 necros.
surely i would loose but i really cant understand is that if i attack one necro the 2 others also attacked me.
Even my EF went on attack to one player they still shoot at them with their bowman. why not wait? think waiting until 2 players kill eachother is the best option. |
the reasons necros don't fight each other and knights don't fight each other and etc. is because they can't do as much damage to each other as they can to other players. So as a knight, attacking the knight first would be stupid. Why? because neither of us could do much damage to each other. SO instead, we will ignore each other and take out the other players before going for each other, both hoping that perhaps the other players will do enough damage to the other knight so that we have an advantage when it's just us left.
so #43 the reason the necros attacked you first is because they could do the most damage to you, and hoped you would injure the other necros so they could win themselves. Especially when you get to racial skill 5 that's a huge defensive bonus against other players of the same race. Why would you waste your attacks on them? They are the least dangerous opponent, and the one you can do the least damage too.
I myself like the tournament. The randomness of a blindfold everyone for himself battle means that the battle will not always go the same. For those who say strategy is worthless, that is silly. Strategy is even more important. Being able to guess who your opponents will attack in any situation will help you win. Of course, sometimes you get the random player who does something absolutely stupid and not only messes himself up, but you as well, but that's the whole fun of everyone for himself. |

i know whats behind it and de defense bonus against eachother.
but why kill my EF if they are attacking someone else.
better wait or defend in your turn instead of using your bowman on a useless attack.
if necro nr 2 didnt shoot me and just let me attack the others he would have saved his arrows and i would have done more damage to his oponent.
thats why i dont understand their tactics |
u just can't understend all the people,
i had a battle in which elf and mage teamed up against me and left the other necro to attack them. I have only 40 mana and the other guy (necro) had 70, he won without effort.
I explain it to myself that some players are aiming for the second or third place directly without trying for the first. |
you see 3 elves fighting each other and me, necro won the battle =)
i was real lucky the red backed up after one elf initiated attack on me on the first turn

Hehe, Ive made 5 games at lvl 7 and got 3 (!) points out of it. Not because I played totally dumb, no, because in most games all teamed up against me from beginning. I had mostly no chance at all. Why? I think because I had the weakest artifacts and weakest gets killed first here.
So bye tournament, this doesnt make sense at all.
@ Admins: This type of tournament only makes the strongest players and most cowardly cheaters more stronger than before. Dont do it again. Perhaps a blindfold duel tournament or a 2 vs 2 with dedicated teams would make more sense (and last but not least: FUN!). |

Its yours. You are lvl 7 and worked so little. So you cant to fight with others, who worked enough. Early or later it must be huppened: you gained exp so quicly that now you can't buy arts for your lvl.
This is bad reason for such words in adress tournament and administration.
In my opinion its a good tournament. Some times players want to win more than play fair but its no so often =)) And we have - fun, great pvp, exp and SP =)

@MoonVampire: Its only my opinion... When your last argument is, that I must have 40+n ammunition points, well.. why is the limit set to 20 then? I have 31. So I got punished because I levelled up too quickly? Well... strange... I think there happend things the admins didnt have expected before.
Fun? No, beeing crushed without beeing able to do anything isnt fun at all, its frustating. But I wont whine, its only a game and I am sorry for people who have to team up or play multis to win it. And I wont say, that skilled players cant win tourney games. Maybe I am not skilled enough. But there were too many scenes that make me doubt that skill is enough to win this tournaments.
Exp and SP? Yes, I made nearly 30000 at lvl 6, but only 500 per lvl 7 game. Even hunting is worthier.
@ TK_: Yepp, thats why I dont expect barbarians and demons on high ranks, they dont have enough shooters. Knights and necros will make it.

LordSchniesel. I wanted to win the honest way too. At lvl 8 first. Than on lvl 9. Last batlle was 3 on 1 (on me =( ). Because there were 2 friends. Many people want jast prise. Nevemind what way will be in use.
As for am. points - limit on 20 to let peoples get in. Skill is good. But in blindfoll battles often someone doing unfair.
But i took part in some fair battles it was very interesting. |

One good point is that is *seems* that the tournament is mixing players (there is often elves,da, undead, barbarians). The amount of xp earned is quiet well too, even if you loose first it seems if you managed to do enough damages you can win almost 3 SP (and i've found the players who play the wating or "escaping" game gains less xp/sp)
I tried many battles (12 or so?) with elves the fact is
- elf is always the primary target, every player shoots my archers (like in regular group battle archers are primary)
- one turn after it's my fk that are about to disapear
- druids are just a peace of cake since you have at least two opponent against you
Just won 2 combats, the former was because i had luck (my archers had the turn first, and there were was not much range damage dealer against me + some critical strike for my first archer and fk turn)
The second one because of afk people.
another stupid attitude are those guys who afk 4 turns just after one turn (everyone should say ok this one is afk, i'll kill him later), then they sudently reapear and start to kill the survivor troops!
Frankly next time I would prefer 1v1 tournaments;) |
