ai is surely cleverer than we image.
it is definitely that the ai has a learning mechanism now, make it more and more unpredictable and human-like.
one example of surprise ai give me:
during the pirate event several days before, I played as wiz. in one battle when ai had only a cannon left and i'm trying to raise all my perished troops, one of my big pirate had only 20 hp left but ai hero were keeping hitting small pirates. "ok it is safe, it would be a 0-lost perfect battle" i think. but when i have used up all mana, the ai hero suddenly killed that big guy, made me feel like fooled by an ai. | for RevolutionRebel:
Tbh I find it hard to believe that the AI did that specifically because you had 0 mana. There was probably some other reason, like maybe now it considered the bigger troop a threat.
Only reason I say this is because it is insanely difficult to make an AI that intelligent, so much so that I don't think games usually have an AI like that, let alone a relatively small game like this. | | It's true, games usually don't have such a good AI. However this AI has been developed over 10 years. At the beginning of the game it was insanely stupid, but by now the admins put very much effort into it to make it smart. AI here is way better than in the original HoMM games. |
