Meanwhile even with artifacts at attack skill of 5 they do maximum 39 damage on elven bowmen with 0 defense! OK, against elf (especially naked one) this helps, but against mage I'll hardly kill stack of 1 gargoyle. And magic fist kills 2 to 3 orcs with each casting. |

Can with a decent skill, granting resistance against damage spells. On level 1-2 - cannot, if a wizard, of course, isn't a complete idiot:) Splitting gargoyle stack to 4-5 units and having one main stack + gremlin stack will grant a nearly 100% victory against 1-2 level barbarian. Lvl 4 - here Barbarian with racial skill 2-3 and up AND Hall of Valhalla can kill wizards. |

Honestly as an Elf I can admit that Elves are kind of overpowered in 3rd level.

As a dark elf i've had difficulties with:
wizards 1-2 lvl
elfs 3-4 lvl
knights 5 lvl |
