Authorthe Golden Bow Tavern [Elves only]
Well, generally they gate (underscore) with (/underscore) their imps. Also, I'm pretty sure the gated units don't pop up until your unit moves out.

I didn't have time to go over it again, but if memories serve, this proves my point.

Not true, I've played demons myself. Blocking a portal does not stop the summon, just moves the place around the gate in a random adjacent square.
As a lvl 3 elf, I don't have much trouble battling against demon or knight
However, I always lose to DE and barberian(with like +6 attack) :(
Yes, Barbarians are hard to fight against alone - as they distance users have higher ini than our bowmen, and 12 healthpoints each unit + rage.
Any suggestions where to spend your skills? is pure morale an option?
Or is it even wiser to spend the points on defense?
i would suggest upgrading your attack.... which our best skill! you can always increase your defense by buying artifacts.

but any suggestions on increasing knowledge or spellpower? i increased spell power (+1) but i am disappointed because my hero has no magic! do i need knowledge to get my hero with some magic?
26. To have magic, you need to reach level 5, then build a Mage Guild in your castle. You also need to have a point in Knowledge, either through point allocation or an artifact.

Finally, at level 5 Elves have three spells: Magic Punch, Rapid and Bless. The two latter spells are cast on troops and last as many turns as your Power characteristic... So a boost of your Power is in order too (you won't go very far with a magic punch once in a while.)

Magic is a hard path :)
1 knowledgepoint = 10 Mana
without mana spellpower is useless
Not true, spell power improves the lightning that druids cast.
for draconlord:
no
Really??You sure?
yes, I'm sure
*shrugs* Thanks
IMHO, the only real difficulty in level 5 for a well-played elf is a necromancer. (I even win against fellow elves). So I'm really pleased when I just won against a necro(and with decent margins too). I guess I just got lucky...at least 5 times.

Seriously, though, do anybody have a reasonable effective way to beat a necro??

True

Druids are casters, so this is the game manual text for it:
This creature can use a set of magical spells in combat, similar to which heroes use. The set of spells is individual for every creature type. The amount of mana is limited, but is always full at the beginning of each combat. Spell power is unrevealed and depends on the numbers of that stack.

@Spell power is unrevealed and depends on the numbers of that stack.@
