Im currently lvl 3 with demons and I dont know what to do against elves. They surround their archers with sprites and while im trying to get close to them they severely weaken me and my remaining troops are finished by their blade dancers(I dunno if thats their correct name sorry) while my demons are struggling to get to the battle and yes I use gating.
Is their some kind of tactic against elves or should I just avoid them? |
well there are 2 hints 1) try to gate near their bowmen so you can block them ouut for some rounds and be careful with wolfhounds you must attack keepers first ior they ll deal a lot of damage
if i doesnt work (sry i never was a demon =) ) dont fght against them in duels or ope for some luck
and dont forget their bowmen die extreamly quick |

The problem is that they surround their hunters with 1 stack of sprites and their forest keepers so I cant block them with gating.I can clear those sprites with my hero but not in time :( |
sprites have 5hp 1 strike by hero and it is over i never had big problem against elves on level 3-4 with my now blocked main, well i was necro and it was easy to reach with ghosts
you can wait with your units kill 1 sprite by hreo and gate on this palce as demon is yourt importest weapon on this level wolfhound u must use them clever and take realliaion from keepers with 1-er stacks of imps |
Did you read what I posted? I didnt say that I cant kill 1 sprite with my hero.
The problem is that elves are fast I kill 1 sprite and gate besides the hunters then he moves another sprite or his keepers to the gate spot so my gated stack gets pushed away.
You have to clear at least 2 adjacent squares from his hunters because he will kill 1 stack with his keepers while he is weakening my troops with his hunters and eventually my imps and hounds get killed by the keepers while the slow as hell demons are trying to get into the fight.
I appreciate your help but I had tried what you said before I went to the forums and it didnt work. Maybe I made some mistakes I dont know. Maybe the fact that I changed factions from necro and I didnt know that spent skill points couldnt be respent and I have +1 to knowledge -.-
But I would like to see a replay of a lvl 3 demon winning against a lvl 3 elf to learn from it.(and a good replay not one where the demon wins because the elf goes afk or makes horrible mistakes) |

here you might see that owning elves is possible as necro well i dont know how isit with you post a fight and i ll try to see mistages =) |
| If you are a lvl 3 demon facing lvl 3 elf, who has the same or better artefacts equipped and he is clever enough, well, you've already lost. That's the true. But don't cry =) You will have a chance at lvl 5... in equal (full) arts, with magic and thinking =) |
But those are 2 necros vs 2 elves :P
My last fight was against a knight(I fought him once before so i knew his setup)

| a demon is bad against factions with good rangers becasue your most important weapon(wolfhounds9 have low hp |
demon is just like knight, they will show the strength. but before that, you will suffer a lot in losing battles.

Are talents limited?(so is there something like you can have only 5 at max or you can have as much as you can buy from your points) |
well talents cost about 10 and you can reach only levle 13 it is (13-3)*5=50
so you have ybout 5 talents maybe if you choose lots of def stats you get only 4^^ |

did u tried to split wolfhounds to few stacks and take less imps to more demons, that way u could try to attack sprites whit mulriple stacks, summon demons by elves and so on... |

On level 4 all races are pretty equal.
On level 5 i think they kinda fixed the elf advantage with talents. So they are pretty balanced. I still think elves are the strongest in duels. Now I fear Dark Elves and Wizard cause of their huge amounts dmg done by magic attacks:)
