There are 3 battle rooms now:
1) Duels
2) Group Battles
3) Tournaments (still empty)
I suggest this:
4) Training
There are some (I think many) players (like me) who don't want to get experience, but they want to get faction skill points.
The only way to do this is to join hunts (or always loose battles, i.e. ruin the game).
But it so difficult to find hunts (I join about 10 hunts per day if I'm lucky). I even pay 50 gold if someone invites me to hunt, but I had only several invitations.
So, the Training would be a solution for me (and for many others).
Training is 1 vs 1 battle (maybe also 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3) in which you don't get experience (also no gold and no artifacts), but you get skill points (you are training your skill!).
When you join hunts you can get no more than 0.25 faction skill point (fsp).
In training you should get 0.3 fsp (if you win) or 0.2 fsp (if you loose).
The difference between winning and loosing shouldn't be big (like it is in real battles now), because it is just training (both winner and looser learned something).
If you loose in real battle then sometimes you can learn nothing (you just fought the battle, no time to think), but in the training you are always learning.
I suggested for winner more than 0.25 fsp, because then less people will join hunts and so hunts will be more available (will be more balance in this game, at least from my point of view, because more hunters will pay gold if they wish that someone will join them).
If you think that 0.3 and 0.2 fsp is too much for training then you can decrease those numbers.
For example: 0.2 and 0.15 fsp.
To decrease the number of cheaters you can add some limitations, for instance:
- you can fight only your own level
Please write your opinions (any). |
it's good but it should cost money e.g. 50 gold per go |
dynast--- I agree. cause if you are so weak, still you can enroll and get money &^^ |
Ok, 50 gold, but only for creator of challenge.
Or this way:
1) 0.5 fsp for winner and 0.3 fsp for looser costs 100 gold
2) 0.3 fsp for winner and 0.2 fsp for looser costs 50 gold
3) 0.2 fsp for winner and 0.15 fsp for looser costs 25 gold
4) 0.1 fsp for winner and 0 fsp for looser costs nothing
In all cases money are paid by the creator of challenge.
If in 5 min nobody joins then the gold is returned back. |
So, nobody interested? |
You know if you want a training room go to group battle and keep facing low level players. |
1) low level players will only sometimes join you
2) you will get experience, not much, but you will still get it |
up :) |
I need that damn training room!
I agree to pay even thousands of gold! |
it's "lose" not "loose" |
personally, i as a knight love the idea. i help in hunts as often as i can for the racial and hunter points |
10 <-- Thanks for correction (shame on me)
11 <-- I'm glad to hear that at least someone likes this idea! |
i'm just meticolous, but loose is really different from lose :D
to lose is opposite to to win
loose is opposite to to tight |
I like the idea, but I think it will need some modifications before being implemented. I mean...if I can spam training sessions at 100g each, then I could get my faction skill up to a very high number with a relatively small amount of money. For some factions, this could be a little unfair. I mean, as an elf, the probability of getting the favoured enemy bonus is controlled by a formula in which faction skill directly affects your chance of getting a critical hit. If I spam my skill up to 20 or so, I could then ensure that I get critical hits every time I attack my favoured enemy, which just isn't fair.
On another note, you've mentioned that in normal combats the loser gets less faction skill points, but they really don't. They get less experience. I've been in group battles that my team lost in which I got more faction skill points than the winners did. Like I said, good idea, but it will need some work to ensure it can't be abused. |
hm well maybe you can limit it more or something like only 10 ~20 times a day |
realy good but what do stat points o for knights? |
once you have built training chamber, you get more high level troops for each knight racial level |
14 <-- I know that in normal group battles some losers may get even more skill points than all winners (and only combat experience is reduced for losers), but in training room you should get no combat experience and losers' skill points should be a bit reduced (compared to winners), because in training you must also to train yourself to achieve the victory if you want to get a good training (i.e. to get more skill points).
I agree that 50-100 gold per battle is maybe too small payment. Ok, lets increase it 10 times. :) Satisfied?
A good idea of DoomNewb: lets limit the number of training battles per day.
Lets make it this way:
1) Default cost of training: 500(creator) + 500(joiner) = 1000 gold per battle (0.5 fsp for winner and 0.3 fsp for loser).
2) Creator can decide how much he will pay:
x gold (0<x<1000) for creator and then the joiner will have to pay the rest amount of gold, i.e. 1000-x.
(nobody will join you if you will pay small amount, instead, they will join others if they are cheaper)
3) You can only join training of your own level.
4) I'm not sure what to do with arts in this case (i.e. whether to give bonus to skill wearing arts or not; maybe it is more logical to reduce bonus?) |
Also there will be more battles in this game, because now some players only hunt, because they don’t want to get experience.
Also you can make satisfaction for those players who want to get experience fast. Give them triple times more experience than normal! And it make it cheap (100 gold per battle).
It will decrease some AFKers, because they just create hunts and go AFK, because they want some gold + experience (they are not patient, this game is too slow for them, they want to have high level troops in short time).
I.e. make two options:
1) faction skill training
2) combat experience training (default :) ) |
ok i think that it is a bad idea now |
