Why doesn't the initiative earnt from Labour Guild show up on my character screen?
It is still 3% (from my racial bonus). |
I of course meant Racial Level, not Labour Guild!
But I cannot edit my post. |
The ini will add to your troops automatically. Just compare your troops with the ''basic stats'' of them, you'll see they are improved. |
Yeah, I appreciate that.
Just wondered why it is not shown on my character screen, after all, that Initiative listed there is for troops. |
No the inintiative on you character screen is related to how fast you hero can attack not your troops.
I may have missunderstood your post. |
You have misunderstood, and you are incorrect.
All heros have 10 initiative, unless modified by a talent.
That initiative listing is for troops, not hero. |
The figures on your character-screen is your Hero's stats. Not your troops.
The reason your bonus from racial skill isn't shown on that screen is because those values are added to the troops of that particular race.
If you change race (change faction by going to the castle) you won't have the bonuses from your previous race-skill. |
7...Really?
Then why the hell, during combat, is my heros stats listed at 10, instead of the 10.3 you claim I should have?
If I wear arts, then that same initiative figure, on my character status page, increases, yet my hero is still only initiative 10, and my troops have the correct amount of initiative.
Therefore that initiative figure is 100% for my troops, not my hero ! |
Hopefully nobody else will try to 'convince' me that the Initiative listing on character stats page is for my hero.
So, to go back to my original query, why isn't the racial bonus initiative shown?
% increases when wearing relevant arts, so I guess it's something that isn't coded yet (or is broken). |
when you see your creature's stats in battle you can see the increament there... |
Rayva, just to reiterate what was said before.
The stats on your character page is for your hero. Some of your hero stats only apply to their troops (ex def), some only to the hero (spell power), and some apply to both(attack).
The racial bonus applies only to troops.
To find the stats of your troops go to the recruitment page to see how your troops are with all your artifacts and bonuses. |
11... yes yes yes, I know all that, and it doesn't answer my question.
Okay, for the final time (before I say things I will regret).....
I am ONLY talking about the Initiative stat as seen on your character page.
This Initiative stat is ONLY applicable to troops (NOT Hero).
This stat shows my Race Bonus (Elf) at the correct 3%
When I wear artifacts that add or reduce initiative, the correct value is also updated and shown.
Regardless of your chosen class, the bonuses from your current racial level apply, eg... initiative +1% at racial level 3.
So why is initiative stat on character page NOT updated and shown with the relative bonuses from racial level? |
12
So let me try to get this straight, basically you are asking why the bonuses for racial level are not included in your hero stats. So at racial lvl 4 you are wondering why your hero does not have the +2 attack, +1 def, and +2% ini?
My guess is it has to do with how they coded the game. Probably if they add that to it, it might have broke when people switch factions, so they kept that bonuses out of the hero stats. |
Rayva. What I said is true. The initiative shown on the characterpage is your hero's Initiative. (Unmodded or with artifacts) Yes, it is your hero's general Initiative.
NOW, for an explanation of what Initiative is: Initiative influences the sequence of the troops' turns in combat.
Which means, the initiative shown on your characterpage is your hero's initiative. It just doesn't concern him in battle.
Now, to continue, from the racial skill you will recieve initiative that adds to the troops you have skill with. And no other race!
Thus, if your hero has +3% Initiative from artifacts or whatever, and a raceskill of 5 (+3% Initiative) for Knights, he in total will add 6% to knights troops, but only 3% to other troops. |
Agelage, you are talking complete rubbish.
Go learn about these things before you post crap like that !
Hero does NOT benefit from Initia... you know what, I am done trying to talk to idiots who continue to give wrong information.
You don't know the answer to my question, and you do not understand the Initiative stat as shown on the character page, so shhh. |
Rayva, read what I write instead. :)
I explained to you what your hero's value in initiative does.
I also told you that it doesn't concern him in battle.
If you read my explanation about what initiative is, you see that the hero isn't influenced by that value. Only the troops are.
Also, I answered your question. Now, to continue, from the racial skill you will recieve initiative that adds to the troops you have skill with. And no other race!
Your hero on the other hand can have more than racial-skill and unique racial abilities influencing initiative. That is the reason it isn't shown on your characterpage. |
Also, I answered your question. Now, to continue, from the racial skill you will recieve initiative that adds to the troops you have skill with. And no other race!
I assumed that was obvious, you can only be one race-class at any one time. Of course you don't get the racial bonus from other race-classes you may have played.
Your hero on the other hand can have more than racial-skill and unique racial abilities influencing initiative. That is the reason it isn't shown on your characterpage.
That still doesn't explain why your current racial skill level bonus initiative isn't shown.
If you read my explanation about what initiative is, you see that the hero isn't influenced by that value. Only the troops are.
Exactly my point, so why isn't all current initiative modifiers that are applicable shown?
Only Elf racial bonus and artifact modifications are shown (assuming class is currently Elf). |
The same could be said for Luck as well. Your hero doesn't benefit from that either.
Anyway, when the question is asked like that I'll have to answer... Ehm, because of consistency?
Attack and defense from race-skill isn't shown because people would mistake it as bonuses to the hero, and wonder why it disappeared when they changed faction. Thus it was at some point decided to show "No" race-skill bonus on characterpage, instead of "Some".
At least, that's my assumption. I wasn't around at the time they coded the game and pondered over it.
What would you do? Show "All", "Some" or "No" values? |
i would show both basic hero stats and total modified stats for the current faction. |
What would you do? Show "All", "Some" or "No" values?
I would say the total values should be shown.
Attack and Defense apply to both Hero and Troops.
Spell Power and Knowledge apply to Hero only.
Luck, Morale and Initiative apply to Troops only.
It shouldn't be too difficult or complicated to code it so that the total values are shown depending on current faction (for racial skill level bonus), artifacts work, talents, etc. |
