| Author | what happens when a thief attacks? |

So, as Ive understood things, beginning from lvl 6 a thief can lay in wait for you when you travel...
I have also understood that if he wins he naturally gets some sort of reward... however what isnt made clear anywhere (that ive been able to find) is where this reward comes from?
ie if youre attacked by a 2 lvl higher thief and lose, do you lose your money, resources, diamonds? and if so how much ? do you lose everything youve got saved or some fixed amount ? (because seriously if I lost all my savings I'd quit).
Also, does having a thiefs guild invitation get you immunity or can one thief lay in wait for another thief? | He gets some of your gold( 40-50 gold in my case, less than 1% of my cash at the time). If the thief has a higher level, you get support troops (in my case always level 5 monks) that you can use in battle. If there are two travellers, you can both fight the same thief.

You get them when you are level 8, but they are the fifth level of unupgraded troops. | If you win against the thief, you get exp and skill point only, no gold.
A thief while travelling can still be ambushed by another thief. | I have a question: that means when you are at level 6,and when you travel(just travel,not escour merchants),you may be attacked by a theif?even you don`t want the balltes?
because this is a webgame and i can not always look at the screen,usually i`m AFK about few minutes or even longer when i travel,I don`t want to see someone complained that he ambushed an AFKer and my luck will be -2 in the future time.That`s not my mistake,isn`t it? | Yes.

I.e. travel only when you have lost battle recently and no thief will be able to attack you. :) | well, actually theif can not choose their opponent, they can just set abused at place to place on map, most of the time we get Caravan.
for me, i try to advoid other player, but if i caught some one and win, usually i will pay back the gold, but if i lose sure i dont do anything, because you had earn your exp, | Why pay back the gold if you win?
Isn't that the whole point of being a Thief? | I fully agree.

but usually i will set the ambuse at silent hill, then it may have less changes to meet other player
when i set it at yellow lake, i usually caught other player, some time 2 player in a match...
i think these is because they are on the merc. quest...
so, i try to 'avoid' them and set it between silent hill and great capital,
i think not much ppl go to g. capital , unless they are buy art.
because there have the lowest wage form rolling,
for me , i use to roll at Blooming Glade , because there have more changes for rolling and wage is higher
and , i only set the ambust when the total ppl online is low, about 400 to 800...
about the pay back, so far i had scold by other player, with p.m. offcouse, because they lose "some" of their gold and "time"
actaually '30 to 100" gold, these "some" of gold mean nothing to me, i want bigger amount of money,,,
maybe 30k to 100k or even bigger, so to be fair to other who never ask for it ,,,
i just return every "loser" the "some" gold
