AuthorNew faction idea---(a human based faction, not knight)
I have that idea, but I dont know what I should name them.

Lv 1 unit/upgrade:
Clubmen/Axemen
Atk 2/3
Def 2/3
Spd 5/6
Initiative 11/10
HP 3/5
Damage 1-2/2-2
ability: rage/rage
(They are cheap and weak units to destroy the enemy with their number and speed/initiative. The axemen is stronger, so they move more carefully-less initiative)

Lv 2 unit/upgrade:
Slinger/Javelin thrower
Atk 4/6
Def 2/2
Spd 6/6
Shot 5/5
Initiative 9/9
HP 13/14
Damage 3-3/3-5
ability:shooter/shooter, double shoot
(they are basic shooter of this faction)

Lv 3 unit/upgrade:
Shieldmen/Protector
Atk 4/4
Def 7/11
Spd 5/5
Initiative 8/9
HP 19/21
Damage 4-5/4-6
ability: large shield/large shield
(Hm... they're pretty similar like swordsman...)

I'll stop here and see some comments. I dont know any upgraded units stats, so maybe they need some balancing for upgraded ones.
no balance...it's like an elf n knight fraction combined
thats it?no more?
show some more units then i will give comments
Hmm, so far so good, albiet the javelin thrower seems like it'd also have no melee penalty in the situation. It gets to range attack two and a half times before it's out of ammo.
I think the javelin thrower should have 10 ammo due to double shot(double shot uses 2 ammo)
Not bad, and fairly well balanced, though I don't see what a slinger has to do with a javelin thrower... What magic have they got, and first parameter? Also, protector isn't much of an upgrade on shieldmen.
I.e.(as well as more damage, hp etc...)

Modern golems - Unlimited retaliation, magic shield 75%(toward 50)
Apparitions(debatable if it's any better at all, maybe even worse) - Drain mana
Minotaur soldiers - Double strike
Orc chiefs - Knocking shot
Guardian - Shield allies(more hp, as well as at potential huge numbers)
Cerberi - No retaliation, Spray
Grandmaster bowmen - Knocking shot
Some edit for those:
Lv 2 unit/upgrade:
Slinger/Javelin thrower
Atk 4/6
Def 2/2
Spd 6/6
Shot 10/10
Initiative 9/9
HP 13/14
Damage 3-3/3-5
ability:shooter/shooter, double shoot, no melee penalty
(they are basic shooter of this faction. Slinger is upgraded to javelin thrower at Rise of Nations.)

Lv 3 unit/upgrade:
Shieldmen/Protector
Atk 4/5
Def 7/12
Spd 5/5
Initiative 8/9
HP 22/24
Damage 4-5/4-6
ability: large shield/large shield,shield allies
(they're tougher now)

Lv 4 unit/upgrade:
Slayer/Armorbreaker
Atk 13/15
Def 5/7
Spd 6/6
Initiative 10/10
HP 21/21
Damage 7-8/8-9
ability: enemy only 80%def(like behemoth ability at HOMM3),rage/enemy only 80%def, double strike, rage
(those deadly swordsmen are the most reliable soldiers of this faction, because of their number and strength)

Lv 5 unit/upgrade:
Enchanter/Expert Enchanter
Atk 12/13
Def 9/11
Spd 6/6
Shots 7/7
Mana 10/15
Initiative 8.5/10
HP 31/31
Damage 17/17
ability: cast atk+ or def+ to allies, cast fireball(23*enchanter number) for 10 mana,no melee penalty, no enemy retalitation
Lv 6 unit/upgrade:
Battle General/Great General
Atk 21/21
Def 17/19
Spd 7/8
Initiative 10/11
HP 85/90
Damage 15-25/20-25
abilities: charge, bravery, large creatures/charge, bravery,2 retalitation per round
large creatures
(those brave horse riders are capable destroying a lot of enemies before they are destroyed)

Lv 7 unit/upgrade:
Dragon Rider/Dragon Knight
Atk 31/33
Def 31/33
Spd 8/8
Initiative 10/11
HP 195/2q0
Damage 50-55/55-60
abilities: charge, bravery/charge, bravery,2 retalitation/round
(those brave horse riders are capable destroying a lot of enemies before they are destroyed)
Sorry, accidentaly I press post message.
This is the real tier 7:
Lv 7 unit/upgrade:
Dragon Rider/Dragon Knight
Atk 31/33
Def 31/33
Spd 8/8
Shots 0/5
Initiative 10/11
HP 195/220
Damage 50-60/55-65
abilities: flyer, large creature, double attack(1st spray)/ flyer, large creature, double attack(1st spray),shooter,no melee penalty
(The dragon rider is the most fearsome army from this faction, but the rarely seen dragon Knight even more dangerous with their ability to throw javelins)
another edit, the fireball uses 5 mana...

They got fire and holy magic, and the primary parameter is attack.

Then I thought we got too much initiative here, so:

Lv 3 unit/upgrade:
Shieldmen/Protector
Atk 4/5
Def 8/12
Spd 5/5
Initiative 6/7
HP 22/24
Damage 4-5/4-6
ability: large shield/large shield,shield allies
(they're tougher now)

Lv 4 unit/upgrade:
Slayer/Armorbreaker
Atk 13/15
Def 5/7
Spd 6/6
Initiative 7/7

Atk 12/13
Def 9/11
Spd 6/6
Shots 7/7
Mana 10/15
Initiative 8.5/9
HP 31/31
Damage 17/17
ability: cast atk+ or def+ to allies, cast fireball(23*enchanter number) for 10 mana,no melee penalty, no enemy retalitation.

sorry Im triple posting. I need to improve those.
too much ability on the dragon knight and it's too strong from the way I see 8 speed for a LV6/7? they can kill like 50+ Elitefk or more with luck
you can call your faction huelf.
Huelf?? Is it human-elf?

And for the dragon rider, I say they're rarely seen=few number, maybe just 3/5 other lv 7 units. I see the stats of black dragon which is stronger. Well, maybe this dragon rider should deal Damage 30-35/35-40, because of double attack, and 200% counterattack... Spray attack didn't retalitated, but the single one will be retalitated.

Next comment should be posted like this:

Suggestions:

It'll be nicer to see
well if it is purely human no need for magic, but he could use his brain and have catapults, ballistas and such equipment
Hmm, the game team will make war machines I think...
i just made up that word,a human combined with an elf
name for that faction eh?

how about `Nomads'??

those units are a bit like barbarians and elves.
they could be nomadic people, always traveling around and learning new skills from other factions.Hence the name nomads.
Actually I want a desert faction, but there's wizard and another idea at this forum... maybe Grassland Nomad with hero called Chieftain
it would be cool with a robot faction
