well, black dragon cannot be blessed, stoneskinned or whatnot, while the emerald dragon can be all of that (and nuked to death, but well)
and probably, as usual, ye get at least one more emmy dragon than black dragon |
| its because elfs are supposed to be weak at higher levels as the admins say if a race is strong initialy it becomes weak gradually like knight till lv2 are bad but in lv3 are stronger as the game goes on they become more strong in lv8 they get cross which makes them quite strong the best example is wiz until they get ginies they very weak against other races but in lv 8 they are pretty strong even without their arts |

hmm, nice idea also..but gonna "waste" one turn of the druid on the dragon as well. remember that when the dragon is available, the hero can use all the magic already ,like fireball..it seem hero will kill the ED with magic instead.

The admins say that on levels 9- the game is balanced. Never have they stated that if a race is strong initialy it becomes weak gradually
Anyway, I think we won't have to worry about dragons as playable units for quite some time ;) |

come on, which admin say that? Did you know how much time you need to spend on level 2 and how much time you spend on level 8?
You can upgrade to level 3 in just several hours, while from 8 to 9 in weeks at least! |

Why this forum always associate "capital letter" with shouting?
If you wrote "all" letters in capital... that is shouting.
But if you wrote some words of them in capital letter... it is used to "emphasize" that word. This is a standard netiquette, I think.
That goes with pegasusfui comment on #6.
He wrote NO SUPPOSE... is to emphasize those words.

| Ok, though Black Dragons are better than Emerald dragons in stats, add the hero parameters into the picture. While a dark elf puts his points into spells and his talent usually is based on sorcery, the elf puts his points into attack and talent into luck. Therefore, the emerald dragon attack is a lot higher than the black dragon's. Plus, if you add stoneskin from druids, the defense increases to 36. After this, add the favoured enemy skill and bless into the picture. If there is a double critical(favoured+luck) and bless plus the increased attack and increased initiative, the emerald dragon clearly is better than the black. The emerald dragon only needs earth spell protection to protect from earthen spikes. If the dark elf used magic arrow, it would usually be on the elven bowmen or fk. If you also look at the speed of the dragons, you can see that they can reach the other side and attack on the very first turn. The 40hp difference doesn't really mean anything at the high levels where everything does about 200 dmg each. |
| ^^^ How imaginative, like your going to all that before they get hit. Lets face it at high level fighting earth magic becomes WAY too weak as we will have Fireball, Lightning, and ice ring so that magic resistance is useless. Let’s add other unties to the equation and the fact that Dark elves can DE-buff ALL that later on in the game if they wanted too. Then we also Dark Witches at that point 0_0 and shrews would get first hit on that dragon at least killing 1 or 2. |
Besides, dark elves have magic piercing, so magic resistance is practically useless.
(Woah, a situation in which magic piercing is actually useful, besides against enchanted gargoyles.) |
