| As far as i know (my friend deadpoet01 asked me the same thing, and he plays a knight), the text of the upgraded recruit building says something about an increase in numbers for recruits in comparison to farmers, because "recruits are easier to recruit", that was in the description, if i remember correctly, and i believe he also got a few more troops after upgrading. |

| I believe that the number of farmers would be equal to the number of recruits. But i am not too sure myself. If extra recruits were given, the description would say something like "boost recruit count by XX", just like farms. |

You get more units..
It depends on your lvl but you can have more troops if you take recruits :) |
