| i have seen my elven bow men and the magi deal their damge at shots and at melee and their damge at melee is 1\2 of their shoot damge and the bandts\poisner deal 2 times at melee is some thing wrong or is it just me |
Nothing wrong..
The elven bowmen and magi have a melee penalty and the bandits have a ranged penalty. |
| bandits/poisoners have ranged penalty so the damage done in range is reduced |

shooters usually do 1/2 damage in melee combat.
some shooters (like orcs) have no melee penalty, they deal full damage in melee.
bandits/poisoners have ranged penalty, they deal only 1/2 damage ranged, but full damage melee, making them melee units with a weak ranged attack (but poison) |
