How about this for an idea...it might not be possible, and it might take some work, but it would make this already deep game that little more real: a bank of the empire, where players can put away money and accumulate interest on it.
In a nutshell, that's my basic idea. It came to me when I realised how much commission I have paid into the tavern, so i thought why could it not be the other way around? :) |
3.21. Any banking business or bookmaker activity is prohibited without gaining the appropriate license from Administration.
Banking business - granting loans with interest, receiving money from other players on deposit accounts or any other bank operations.
Bookmaker activity - taking bets on sports or other events with paying the winnings in money's worth. |

Forgive me for being a little confused erlemar but I agree with Xerfer..what is it about your post that tells me whether or not an imperial bank would work? :)
To clarify for you, I am talking about a simple banking system developed by the designers, with the main purpose of allowing players to develop their savings more quickly. Possibly controlled by admins, it is therefore exempt from paragraph 1 of rule 3.21 ;)
...and it would have the added bonus of being safe from a 'global credit crunch'...:D |

What do you mean by "died"? There is a bank there, and it seems to be doing pretty well. As for this server, there are no banks here yet, but to the best of my knowledge noone has applied for a license so far.

| So where does the interest come from? Is it generated by the game? I should hope so otherwise what is the point in a player setting up a bank if they have to pay money to people who set up accounts with them? |
Strange. I heard banking was illegal again. Cant say i'm glad i'm wrong...
Interest comes from % gained by crediting. And by trading. Idk if it is worth the effort. |
