Author | How to kill 24 golems with 1 sprite. |
The segment I speak of is towards the end, and is a general strategy for a losing hunt. Despite getting owned, I'm happy about taking down 24 of a stack of 44 with one sprite.

good done:) |
obviously the game should be very easy, not sure why you make it so difficult. |
I should have started doing this when I had 36 sprites, but for some reason I thought they would attack my druids instead of the sprites. Certainly learned from that. |
U're genius!!! _o |
True, golems/modern golems are specifically easy for this task... though it can be done with swordsmen/guardians, granted they don't get morale too often.
I didn't use lightning because golems have 50% magic shield (or 25? I forget) and druid shots can do decent damage. I did play that specific game wrong... and I should have brought a druid as backup for the sprites in case of speed change at the wrong moment.
The game I posted was only a good example of the strategy because I had one sprite vs. so many golems. Otherwise, most of the time I have full sprites and a couple druids and/or fks to block.
Theoretically (though I cannot say for sure) this strategy works for any creature with a lower speed and init than Sprites.
I will post a better example in the future... when I have full sprites and backup. |
you could have run with druids and or fk fk good for long distance and druids can keep it busy but nicely done checkout uliss vs modern golems over 1000 |

U discover the feature, that is known by 5k players... |
Nothing special. You did some misstakes and lose battle. Why you didnt retreat by sprites? In this battle sprites cost even more than archers. Save tham and you'll win - thats all.
And 24 golems by 1 sprite... pfff, for what? )) |
lame thread, not even win it.
What the point? |
*sigh* so many haters... is there a problem with trying to point out a strategy? I'm sure most of the vets here know the strat, but what about those new to the game? |
strategy?? Oo you made a misstakes and it take you to lose. What newbyes can lern from it? |
Newbies can learn that Golems are slower than sprites... you may understand this fully now but not everyone at levels 1 or 2 do!
ipslne, sure you made a mistake but we all do at the very end you saved the battle and indeed this is something to be proud of regardless of wether there was a better strategy... a victory is a victory! |

extra skill points in an against the odds battle is a victory in my book...
perceptions are a wonderful thing! |
Newbies can learn that Golems are slower than sprites... newbie doesn't equal a retard, lol.
And that battle wasn't "against the odds" - it could have been won if topic starter didn't make the mistakes she did.

People here aren't haters. You post on forum - be prepared for criticism. |
shouldnt this be in gratitudes and congratulations? instead of general |
If you believe the boards, half of the player base is comprised of ego maniacal pricks.
He said he made mistakes. He didn't have to post it. He thought it was funny that 1 sprite lived that long while his hero took down that many golems.
If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all.
Jesus, most of us learned this in kindergarten. I guess some of you were either taking your nap or in the corner for doing something idiotic during that lesson. |

Dont tell others what to do, and then they dont tell you where you can go :P
golems (and zombie) is the best slow units to destroy by sprites(and shrews). They dont have morale. So just save fast unit with "no retall" and you can kill many and many.
PS: if you post on forum - uoy show to others something, so they can disscuss it, not just gratz you. |
