Author | coloured dot - mercernary quests |
Hello
I think it is a good idea to show a coloured dot (like the one from hunts, white, green, yellow, red, red with exclamation mark) on the mercernary quests
Because they only give you a little sentence, then how should you know if you can win it or not
Because sometimes you have to fight like tons of monsters, and you have to place your troops in the middle, so its impossible to win.......
So if you would know that before you start, you can just press decline |
how fun would it be to as you describe it "knowing if you will win" before you even fought the battle?
Bad idea! |
You should already have a rough idea if you will succeed a mercenary quest anyway. They're just upgraded versions of your past quests. |
Not a bad idea,we get the dots for hunting quests so why not for the mercenary?
Or the number of foes we are to tackle. |
I think it would be a great idea to have such a warning relevant to your level... if we get it for hunts I see no reason why we couldnt get it for quests... many other similar games list their quests with a warning to the level of difficulty... |
for Sven91:
If you're doing a delivery mission you know already what's going to happen. Just press decline untill you're lvl 6 :)
I don't care for the dot much - it's absence doesn't hurt me, I doubt it's presense would. |
well, the point is...
How do i know its a delivery mission?
They give you 1 weirc cryptic sentence.... |
Well, if they say "you've got to deliver the pacage to BG" then obvioudly it's a delivery :) And you'll be atacked by brigands.
Or if they say "monster-X is atacking a village" then you'll definetly have to fight a monster, and not a raid of creatures :) |
Well, apart from the delivery missions (make me wonder if those guys bringing pizzas to my home have to go through all that to get them here :P) there is an indication, the number in {} next to the name. Based on that and past quests you have done you can easily calculate if they can be done or not. The only problem here is that you have to do a few (and possibly fail miserably) before you get the idea. Still, mercs guild is known to be tough so I think it's fine as it is. |

my 5 lasts delivery missions. and i'm level5 :p
i think whe don't need these coloured dots for merc quests.
it would be useful only for the beginning, once you have some experience you can know if a quest is easy or difficult, you just have to remember what happened in your previous attempts.
i think it would be a better idea to give an advertissement for low levels: "be carefull mercenary quests are difficult, you should be at least level5 before trying them"
to prevent new level1-2 players to try these quests impossible for them. |
nah, don't think this will help |
To misself:Coz we both know what quest to go we should go at each lv coz .But there is many mercenary quest. So some are unown or perhap many people dont know it. |
Sry for doubling posting
To karsot:I think this is a good idea.It make our record of defeat lower.I like good record of winning. |
