any troop formation 4 level 5 barbarian? |
is there any good strategies for level 3-4? My wolf riders die way to fast in pvp, and my orcs deal little damage in long ranges. |
That's because you're using your Orcs too early, IMHO. Note that I haven't played Barbarians, but I've played against them....
Bloodlust:
Attack parameter of this creature increases every time any enemy stack perishes completely. The effect is calculated as 1.3*(basic attack of the perished stack without hero bonuses)*(strength of the perished stack)/(strength of all army of that hero). The effect cannot be lower than 1. Strength is an unrevealed parameter. Creatures acquire bloodlust for the rest of the combat, bloodlust effects stack up.
See that "This effect can beno lower than 1?" That means every time a stack is killed, even if it's just some stupid single fairy stack, your orcs attack goes up by one.
So let's say you have a favorite target on the board, and at the start of the battle, your total Offense with your orcs minus their Defense is -5. If you kill ten tiny stacks, then it becomes +5. You're going from 26 damage with a stack of 10 to 43 (half for both at long range).
Where do you find such tasty stacks? In group battles. Try to get partners with chewy targets, like Elves and Wizards. Then use the wolves to eat as many small stacks as possible. After the first two turns, your orcs damage will have doubled. As the opponents lose big stacks, they'll get stronger still. I think I figured out in one 3x3 battle where my gargoyles and their orcs were all that was left, the orcs had an offense of around 50. It didn't help that my side had a Necromancer. Every time his ghosts died, the Orcs went up in strength another three points or so. |
Which talent did you guys use when you were level 5?
best regards |
24: either thrusting or basic luck |
24: Basic fortune is definitely the best, I think, for level 5. |
thanks for the tips
BTW I disagree with the poster of this. I don't think such a tread can bee outdated - the reason he created a new. There is plenty of good hints and tips in old topics too.
I am not to happy about T-might. But maybe i should equip more artifacts. |
Does anyone have any good duel combat footage of Barbarians fighting other races at 5th level?
I am finding it very difficult to coordinate Ogres and the Stunning Blow Ability.
Elves and Knights seem to defeat me very easily now, yet when I was 4th level I would usually defeat them.
I find combat videos very useful.

Graat i think you'd better make more wolf riders stack rather than having one . this way you can take reatail and then hit with the main stack ;) |
I don't think such a tread can bee outdated
The reason for that isn't the poster's personal opinion, you know. The fact is that when a topic hasn't received post in a specific number of days, it becomes obslete and nobody can post on the topic any longer. That's the reason a new topic was created by the poster. |
Oh. Thanks Zyanya
I was not aware of that. |
