AuthorIs that usual in group battles?
Hi!

As a new player, I only did about 5 battles with other players, half of them duels and the other half I was assisting someone hunting. The other day, I was looking at a 2 vs 2 battle and some of the things that happened looked very strange to me.

- Every player timed out at least once while it was their hero's turn (they were not afk as they played creatures afterward).

- No one ever played before there was more than 15 seconds on the timer.

- One player clearly lost on purpose as he did the worst possible moves at time (defending with shooters, moving a creature one square instead of waiting or defending, etc).

- One player in each team used the chat and was never answered by his teammate. One of them was always telling his teammate which creature to attack, but I guess he was not looking at chat as he rarely chose that target.

- Finally, all the creatures of one player died all at once because he timed out too often (he wrote "don't say anything" in chat as he seemed angry). A little later, the same thing happened to his teammate.

Can anyone explain that kind of behavior? Does the program tend to freeze in battles with multiple players preventing them to play in time? Does it happen often that players play against the spirit of the game, like losing on purpose or being half-afk?

Goodbye!
Sometime the server is slow, and sometime you need to refresh your browser. But those are not so often times.

On the other hand, it is needed 5 times out consecutively to get a sudden death, but it can be also the case if someone is trying to cheat (playing from the same IP with 2 characters). That's why, if you have anyone who is playing from the same local network, you need to tell the admins. Losing on purpose is forbidden.

And the last point, not everybody here is speaking/understanding English, so, don't judge anybody because he/she is not answering. Maybe that person doesn't understand English.

How would I know if two players are from the same local network?

As for the slow server, that happened to me today for the first time. It actually made IE crash and I had to reboot my computer. Of course, when I logged back, the hunt was lost, but it does not show up in my combat log.

Thanks for the answer.
You cannot know directly if they play from the same IP, but the game has a tracking system (here I am guessing because I've noticed several times the same behaviour as you described it above; not fully sure) for that.

Try Firefox. It is more reliable than IE. Usually, IE is one generation behind and it has bindings with ActiveX which is one of the main components of MS Windows, and that makes MS Windows more vulnerable to viruses, attacks and so on. Firefox is free (just go on GOOGLE and search for Firefox) and it is the most evolved web browser (at least from the point of view of W3Consortium - the www developer).

Good luck!
