Renting full Hunter Set.
The effects of the full hunter set are:
+1 attack, +4 defense, +6% initiative, +20% damage to neutral creatures, and +1 to minimum and maximum damage of all hero's stacks. +1 to minimum and maximum damage is VERY good for stacks of MANY units. for example:
A stack of 84 hobgoblins for a level 6 barbarian currently do 2-2 damage. The max amount of damage done in a single attack is 168 (given they are all alive, and not counting attack and defense bonuses) After the full set is equipped they will do 252 damage.(given the same conditions) Also, having plus six initiative they will have an ever higher chance of going twice before a larger stack making them 2*effective.
Another reason to use full set is that it gives you 11 AP. Artifact Points give you more xp and skill points in battle, so this is very helpful in leveling up quickly.
