Let's suppose you read already that rule (if not, I recommend you to read carefully the rules of this game). On one hand, it says "Large transfers for the reason of leaving the game etc. are forbidden." What does it mean large transfers? It is related to those 30% percents one can give away? Let's see.
According to the rule, player A is allowed to give away 30% from his/her general property (for simplicity, I consider here only gold pieces) at the moment of the transfer. But it doesn't mean player A should stop to only one transfer. So, let's do some math.
All the time player A remains with 0.7 from the amount of gold after the transfer. After N transfers, player A remains with 0.7@powerN times the initial amount of gold pieces (say M0). Considering that at 3 pieces of gold no one is allowed to transfer anymore (30% from 3 gp = 0.9 gp which is less than the unit), than how many transfers (labeled as gifts) should player A do in order to transfer almost, say, 300 000 gold pieces to player B without breaking the rule 3.15?
Well, the formula is simple: N = ln(3/M0) / ln(0.7) (i spare you from the math prove; if you don't believe me, go to the high school manuals of math). That means, for 300 000 gold pieces at the beginning, player A needs 33 transfers to make to reach 3 gp. For 15 seconds the transfer, that means about 8 minutes of work.
So, now, my dear players, what does it mean large transfers? Is the amount of 299 997 gold pieces a small transfer? What's the difference between transferring everything in one chunk and working on transfers while one smokes a cigarette?

What don't you understand: the math or the rule? | 3.15. Large transfers for the reason of leaving the game etc. are forbidden. Presents must not exceed 30% of the general property of the character, at the moment of transfer. General property is considered: gold + seven primary resources (wood, ore, mercury, sulfur, crystals, gems, leather) + artifacts only. Rare trophies, Thief invitations, etc. are valued at market price.
so, technically, its possible to transfer all your gold if u hv resources (i noe this is not ur question)...
also, what could admins do to the player if he/she relli wants to leave the game?.. blocking them or giving them a warning wont work...

That would be my guess yes, although i dont think it is legal at all to send gold to anyone for the reason of leaving the game, although if it doesnt exceed the 30% present limit there is really nothing the admins could do about it unless the specifications says something like IAM LEAVINF THE GAME HERE TAKE GOLD. For me this is one of the bugs in this game. There are some I discovered, but this is in the same category of not being able to find the logic behind like in the rule about the weapon. I am Elf, I don't need a weapon, but a bow. A Wizard needs a staff and so on for each faction. so lets say u r leaving the game and u give everything u have to ur bud in game so what r they going to do block ur abandoned account or fine u XD that does not work at all

3 gold pieces is the minimum required by that rule. so, whatever transfer which put you in the situation to remain with less than 3 gp will be considered too large! (exception, to transfer through a clan bank) :D |
