How do magic shield effects stack up. Lets say I have twice 50% magic shield on a creature, do they simply add up (to 100%), does the second magic shield just effect the remaining 50% (so that they combine to 75%) or do you take the strongest effect (and end up with just 50%)? |
The middle one. :)
This assumes you can have a double effect (if you cast the same spell twice on a creature, generally on the second one continues to work). |
Are you sure magic shield is treated like a spell, in my eyes it's an inherent ability of a creature, so for clarification, let's say a golem (with 50% magic shield) is equipped with +40% magic proof mini-arts, does that mean he receives 70% less damage from spells? |
How do multiple magic shield effects work against magic piercing?
So lets say I equip my gargoyles (with lightning immunity) with +40% magic proof mini-arts and a dark elf with 50% magic piercing fires a lightning at them, do the mini-arts have an effect and the damage is reduced by 60% or will it be 50% like it would be without the mini-arts? |
I don't know for miniarts- A magic shield spell/effect + inherent magic proof will combine like I mentioned. Miniarts may be different, though. |
