AuthorPerfect hunt asists for all

If you win, then you get things as it was before game update (2008-12-21)
I mean this update:

this is a very, very smart suggestion, but unfortunately it will never be done.

Why it will never be done?
as long as you get an increased amount of fsp as a holiday surprise along with a faster restore and more often events, getting fsp won't be considered as an option. it is considered as a gift. don't ask me why. neither do i know...
The game was altered in the first place partly due to players intentionally losing hunts to gain FSP without the XP and that made them to strong later on in higher lvls. What you suggest gives that same result so it wont happen.
If I read this correctly than that can't happen because he suggested that if you lose a hunt assist you get nothing - no experience, no guild points, no faction skill points
that was a reply for #4
sorry for double post :)
>>> 4: +1
Don't misunderstand me #5. I said that the game was altered to avoid players getting a high FSP/XP ratio and #1's idea suggested something that would result in exactly that.

You are wrong!

this:
5. The Empress's new educational reform decree has caused a lot of talks amongst the wise wizards of the Empire. It is generally believed that the changes have been made first and foremost to stimulate Lords to win every combat they take part in.

There is nothing said about FSP/XP ratio!
That alteration was made for this reason: winning battle should be always better than losing battle (a natural thinking).

The problem is that they also took away possibility to gain skill points also from hunt assists. Nobody wanted that (if you search Ideas and suggestion forum, you will find no such suggestion, at least not directly).

So, I try to make things clear: both types of players should have fun.

And you can’t control hunt assists, so it is a very slow way to get FSP (you have to “hunt” a hunt assist :) ).

My thoughts:

1. If a player play this game LONG time then he should be more powerful than a player who play this game SHORT time, agreed?

2. Both types of players (I described them above) should have fun playing this game, i.e. they should be able to play this game in THEIR style. As a result, of course, is different FSP/XP ratio.

3. Even when we played Heroes of Might Magic game (actually I mean HoMM3 and HoMM4) half of my friends were players of 1st type: they wanted to finish map quickly, then play a new map, etc., in multiplayer game they always wanted to limit time of one turn, so that game would be fast.

4. I consider myself (and other my friends) as 2nd type player: I like to explore every corner of map, so I usually play XL maps even a week (always on impossible level, of course), in HoMM4 I always tried to build a hero with all 20 secondary skills being at grandmaster level, etc. In campaigns I always tried to avoid getting experience with main hero, because I hoped to find witch huts, magic schools, universities or altars in the next map.

My point is that there are many players of 2nd type, because many players who play this game also played HoMM series.
I mean that some people don't like strategy games at all, for example, they play shooter games (like Quake), racing games, etc.
And many of those, who like strategy games, are 2nd type players.
^^ 1. Nah, not always like that.
Skill and diamonds can beat 'time' advantage.

2. Yeah, but if there's option not to get any experience then here comes 'intentionally losing'.
How about natural thinking that winning battle should be always better than losing battl

3. You can levelling fast or explore quickly but this isn't offline.
Everything can't be finished in 1 week or month, it will be bad for the game itself and admin ofc:)

4. LWM not shooter type, so they who like shooting games sure can't expect that kind of style at here. But of course, everyone can play their own style.
^^ Eh, nvm 'bout number 2 BUT it's not 'perfect' if you lose after tried hard to win. It's better not see only black and white, at least you got something for the effort to win.
Jeverag, please read your post several times before you post it, because in the last two posts you wrote some garbage, i.e. no quality at all (this is not a chat).
And I don't understand what you mean (if you mean anything at all).

I'm not talking about English language quality here, I'm talking about quality of Logic.

(sorry, no offence, I just hate posts without quality)
^^ Yeah or maybe you just don't get it.
Good luck with your logic then :)
The point of this change was to prevent players to become arbitrarily strong within a combatlevel and thus preventing things like hunter's records and level partition for tournaments from becoming pointless.
to Author:
What can I say additionally?
I'm agree with all of your points.
for Robai:
I'm agree with all of your points.
At last someone understands me :)
Georgia, thank you too.
I support Robai,

It's a great game, and the new rules against intentional losing is appreciated too, but the empire could also encourage hard working, honorable lords by rewarding more skills rather than penalizing with more exp (in a helper hunting and in a dual for example). That sound to me more fair and attractive.

bests
I agree w Robai too.

that's the reason I dun do Hunt asstist anymore.
(Ever since the AP rule started)
misses the times I had fun w my regular hunting partners!!
I don't know, it's not that I don't like the idea-it just seems redundant.

In the HOMM games, there is a point in being patient I guess- you get to do things that you can't do if you play quickly (find secrets, get more skills).

However, in this game, you can get your faction and hunter levels whenever you want, no matter which level it takes (so even when you're in a high level, you can change to a 0 level faction to play). What's the difference between getting faction level 9 at level 3, or at level 14? It always has the same effect.

By far the only reason to wait is to get a lot of hunter records-and this may be a matter of perspective, but I don't believe that casual players shouldn't be able to shoot for a record just because they didn't work at a level for a long time. And also, helping for the purpose of not getting exp to PVP is in my opinion, cheap, since a new level 5 person, who loves PVP, wouldn't want to get creamed by a veteran level 5 in PVP, all because of faction skill points. If I've missed something, tell me.

Shrug, I guess if this is a matter of perspective, then I guess it's an OK idea, since some people like the work and have patience. But in practice, there's no difference. You just get some things in later combat levels- what's wrong with that?
