you say i will need lots of gold at level 5 and say i should have more gold at level 3 now. in other words, you are asking me to grind/enroll more because i will need to use a lot of gold.

yes i am lazy. i don't want to work in a game when i already work in real life.
i want to play and have fun. i don't like to work and grind, and i won't, that is why i am quitting.
i want to play hard games, not easy games like LWM where we grind HG, LG, gold and RS over and over again.

Rebecca has been giving justifiable feedback and has already stated that she loves this game :) That is not to say that I think this game is for her... If she does not enjoy playing, whether she thinks it's a good game or not, she should probably not play. It's better than complaining with ridiculous accusations and continuing to play ;)

One more piece of feedback :
At level 5, in order not to be disadvantaged, I would need to build my Castle. For Knights that means 8700 gold for Griffin (counting the costs of 20 ores) and 25250 gold for Farmer Cabins = 33950 gold. (again counting in wood and ore) This is not including all the money I would need to buy artifacts, not just to satisfy the AP requirement but to be competitive.
Suppose I earn 240 gold per enroll and 100 gold per hunt. This is generously assumes I always managed to get into production and I have LG level 1 for the 1.2x bonus and that hunting actually gives 100 gold. It would take you 33950 / 340 = 99.85 hours or 100 hours of enrolling. 10 hours of enrolling everyday = 10 days of grinding for 10 hours just to be on par with my level 5 peers. And then I have to worry about getting gold for artifacts, which might take another 10 or more days!
One might argue that typing in 5 words every hour takes no effort. But they are forgetting that for the scenario above, I would need to do this over again for 10 hours or more a day for around 3 weeks! Furthermore, I would need to hunt in addition to typing 5 words. This takes up maybe 10-15 minutes every hour. It is really disruptive and punishing to have to spend 10-15 minutes every hours to repeatedly do the same thing over and over again for 3 or more weeks - just so that i can be on par with my peers of the same combat level. :(
We are not counting in the fact that people might have classes to attend, might have to go out with friends/family, might have to work without access to the game most of the time etc.
This is a GREAT game which I love a lot. But it just requires too much commitment from me and I suspect many others feel the same too. I am giving negative feedback because I love this game. (if i don't i would just leave quietly)

At level 5 you should most certainly have Laborer's Guild 3, or get there during level 5 even if you have been slacking off on your enrollments ;)
As for not having time to enroll, what you're not figuring in is that it's all proportional to the time you play anyways. Less time to play means less battles which means less use of artifacts. Many players who log in just to enroll don't have time to play as well, they just make a note to log in and enroll in class every so often. It gives them a slight edge, but not by very much :)
Also I would like to note that everyone's Castle Constructions cost nearly the same and all factions have similar hardships at each combat level.
This is not a game of endurance, it's a game of strategy. That strategy is not only to be found in battles. It is more often found in how your handle your character's affairs; be it money, skill point and experience balancing, or artifact usage. I find that more often than not, those who have a problem with money in this game do not have a good strategy in dealing with it. I personally have been self-sufficient for the most part, and that is with using _full_ arts. Right now I'm in a bit of a struggle having recently reached level 10. As it is going right now, though, I should be back to using full arts in a few days :) Even then, I see flaws in my handling of money...
In-short, while you are developing a strategy for your army, you should be developing a strategy for the well-being of your Lord. Lords of War _and_ Money ;) |

LG level 3 requires 360 enrolls in total. I am close to LG level 1 now. (90 enrolls) So it would take me another 270 enrolls. If I enroll 10 hours a day, it is around FOUR WEEKS of 10 hours a day enrolling. This is PRECISELY the kind of commitment I am talking about which is driving me away and I suspect will drive away many new players.
And while everyone faces the same hardships, players with more time to grind enroll + hunt will have a huge advantage over players who do not have the time. Agree?
Not that this is a BAD thing - same can be said of many other MMORPGs. It is just not my thing. :)

Loving a game doesn't mean you have to ignore its flaw and only say good things about it. But I think cyberclops actually enjoys everywhere about the current system, am I right? If so, well, continue having fun then! :)

| i agree with the author of this, i admit from level 5-6 i got a little annoyed with this game, im a new level 7 and cant put this away been playing for like 12 hours straight, amazing how such a cool game like this is free, ive played games that are rank as and they cost, everyone should stop moaning and groaning about little things, instead of complaining about things why dont you look for ways to solve them all you whiners (no offence). dont like this ap rule though, kinda slows down the potential progression as a player. |
