This forum layout is really a mess. If you want to inquire anything, you are better off just posting a new thread instead of making a pointless search with this engine.
How about getting an independant site for the forum, like a BBcodes forum like for instance this: http://board.ogame.org (I don't know if you are allowed to post external links to competing games, but this is just to show what I am talking about)
With this type of forum you have some advantages over the current one.
1: Players need to register to post threads in the forum. That way you resolve the issue of having secondary characters posting.
2: You can add screenshots and other pictures directly in your posts instead of just links to them.
3: You can change the color, font, size etc. to make the posts more attractive and readable.
4: You can edit your posts instead of having to doublepost or even making a new thread. The advantage of editing as compared to doubleposting is that the author can change the first post in a thread. This is a plus in posts that contain statistics and guides.
5: You can make polls to satisfy your curiosity in different subjects.
There are many more advantages to having a game independant forum. I just feel that there are too many users in this game for the current forum to be sufficient anymore. | | Good Idea | | +1 to idea. | | signed | ofcourse a company like this cant just use a free forum
but yes, id would love to see this forum improved too | Also another thing that have come up since last time:
Some of my friends can for some unexplainable reason not load the lords-page. And with an internal forum site there is no way for them to contact the admins about it.
I still believe that an external forum and maybe IRC for chatting would be very inviting for the gaming experience as a whole. |
