Author | More setup time for double hunts |
I don't know how long the setup time is now, but between the additional loading time because of larger board, reloading the map screen once before it starts loading and a slow computer...I'm left with 10-30 seconds to set up my troops.
I suggest the initial setup time should be at least 30 seconds longer, so players with slower systems at least get a chance to set up properly (the double hunts are challenging enough without time restictions). |
Yeah and also talk some strategy before starting.
Fine idea. |
Maybe even let the player choose how much time they want for setup? Now the loading time is even longer, and I don't even get in before I've timed out and gotten -2 luck. Somewhere around 900 seconds would be right for me. |
I donrt think so.
I had a co-hunt recenlty actually i just clicked at my hunt at it started without a alert |
I donrt think so.
...but it's not the same for everyone. |
sry: I think it depends on if you're the first one or the second in a double hunt... I've had them start up right away, and other times I had to wait a couple minutes before starting (usually from the refresh).
I think extra set up time is awesome, it if allows the person I'm doubled with to NOT go AFK then I'm all for it!
I find MY biggest slow down (even though I'm on high-speed internet and a near-high end PC) is when there are over 1000 players online. If I had a gold for every time the message popped up that my combat was trying to connect to the server I would have been able to buy all my arts! :-)
I realize thats the limitation of the server, and unless there is more money flowing into the game that's not going to happen, however its a catch 22 isn't it? IF you can't smoothly have more than 1000 players, you're never going to have more than 1000 players! Maybe gradually increase server capacity? I know that at some times in the day there are only 500-600 players online, but others I've seen over 1100. Maybe bump it up so that its smooth until 1500 players? Maybe those people with bad connections won't have as much of a problem either then?

in dual hunt, do the monster speak? if yes, make them quiet.
If no, then i have no idea. |

And what does that gotta do with anything? Besides there ins't an option to make them quiet. If it's a suggestion you're providing, then do so properly by following IaS rules. ;) |
in dual hunt, do the monster speak?
They don't, as far as I know. But I don't think the speech causes much of a slowdown, and it should be gone soon anyway (holidays are over). |

You're right, it doesn't
and it should be gone soon anyway (holidays are over).
I have this funny feeling it will stay :) |
good idea! i agree. |
