In my eyes roulette is just an additional tax for people, who can't do math. |
Roulette = Evil |
Roulette is indeed very evil, unless you take the time to work out when you actually have a better than 50% chance of winning. Besides you can't blame people for trying; there aren't too many ways of making gold around. |

You can work, trade, hunt, do merc quest or offer smithing and enchanting services. |
for 24
Except for the work, hunt and possibly trade you can't achieve the other options reliably until you get to combat level 6+.
I consider trading tricky to do at low levels because you need the gold to get the stock you need to trade. Enough hunting may get you some hunting gear but unless you have a supplier trade can be difficult. |
to #17 I have the same feeling.
as about 5:
'Formula for almost sure-fire winning: "Double or nothing". And if you stop playing when you're up, then you have beaten the house. :) '
This is not working here... |
I didn't say that all of them are easy, but definitely something I rather try before wasting money on roulette. |
Roulette is easy if you don't get greedy, you can hugely increase your chances checking what numbers have/haven't been out...that's the reason most people lose, they bet too much looking for a big gain and just bet on any numbers without checking previous numbers. |
Its addictive :O |

That's cause you got greedy and didn't stop when you were up. Now you don't have enough gold to continue doubling down.
I'm not saying that everyone is guranteed to win from roulette. In fact the house has the advantage with the 0,00 in there. I'm just saying by doubling down you can never lose in the end given that you have enough gold to keep betting and stop playing when you're up.
of course those 2 conditions are hard to keep since greed and addiction are so powerful.
for safe money, just work all day like yippeekiay does. he has 2300+ pts in labor guild. |

The wheel has no memory of what number came out before and does not choose numbers >_>
As in.... it is just as likely for 3 consecutive results to be 0,0,0 as it is to be say... 1,7,14 or any other 3 numbers |
24: Missing my point, yet proving it for me at the same time, so thanks.
You obviously don't know too much about the game beyond hoarding defender shields and mercury...go and look at all the up-and coming enchanters, then tell me how many of them male a profit. Please don't give me any more of your advice in future, thanks. |

dont judge like that, will you? keep it for yourself.
not everybody who play roulette can't do math.
some of those who play the roul are trying to have a bit of fun regardless to how much they have lost.
you can't blame ppl for trying to have fun by spending some money, can you? |
Bravo...ganz...im the one love this kind of fun...seen become a crazy guy in other people eyes... :) |
Who's the rulette gambler with the most lose and the bigger win? |
for vrajitorul:

28: Are you sure this roulette uses more complex RNG generator? I'm under impression chances for a given number are not dependant on previous rolls, like % chances of lets say morale or luck. It's just standard RNG and thus there is no way of predicting what next number will be.
Anyone who earned money in roulette was just lucky as far as I know, with a much less probability of hacking the server and rigging the RNG and escaping unnoticed. ;) |
to StorminMerlin:
Sometimes you have to invest money in order to make money, do you really think those people will always offer their services for less then they pay themselves, not everyone is this shortsighted, once they reached a high skill they will charge an additional fee.
I guess there are indeed few ways to make money when you don't see or condemn half of them.
to Ganz:
The original quote uses lottery instead of roulette, but that's no real difference and where I'm from it's commonly known, so I don't see (or meant) an offense in that.
And if you want some fun betting on wrong numbers and can do math, try the random function of your calculator, it's much cheaper that way. |

Ah yes, the human need for risk-taking ^_^
So long as you don't moan after losing I won't get in your way XD
As for the RNG, I think I read something about computer RNGs are ALWAYS flawed. Why? Computers are incapable of being random, every result from the computer is a calculation if I am not mistaken. Following a programmed algorithm, the computer can generate a very very very long strand of seemingly random numbers but the pattern has to repeat itself at one point.
To those of you thinking of recording the results from this point and hoping for the pattern to come again at some point, forget it and go do something more worthwhile. The sequence is so long the game may not even use the whole of it before it shuts down. |

Your first point is still totally irrelevant. People need to make money to progress; you are suggesting that people who have no money in the first place spend more, for the chance of making profit in the extreme relative long-term. Not to mention that starting any enchanting business now is pretty pointless considering the skill of the highest enchanters in the game already.
Not only do you confuse the term 'short-sighted', you are blinkered yourself; your way of making money was based on buying up and monopolizing items which were in much demand. As for charging almost 400 gold for mecury...pathetic. |
