additional setup boxes

Authoradditional setup boxes
I think that starting with level 5, 2 new boxes should be given to split units up into. This would allow for better strategies by accommodating places for the new units.
For example, I am elf. While I like to keep my druids separated to maximize lightning spell damage, I also want to have 3 forest keepers separated from my main body of fks in order to run them up in front of my main body of forest keepers and, thus, be able assure that I get the first hit against the main enemy stack.
This would completely change the scale of the game. I do think that at, perhaps, level 10 or 12 this could be useful, as you can only split one stack after you get your 6th unit... but that's how the game is at the moment. It would be too big of a change for such a low level.
yes, it would be a big change. However, this is a strategy game, right? and I kind of feel like my freedom to maneuver is getting lower as my level advances. What happens at level 10 or 12? Just stand there and attack? (ok, that is exaggerated) However, I do think that as more units are available, the strategy needed is lowered.
maybe for every 1000 battles that youve won you get 1 extra box ?
that would be ok, although that would make the same level players a possibility to differ a bit
if it went according to battles won, i think it should be more like 500
However, I do think that as more units are available, the strategy needed is lowered.

That could not be further from the truth. The more new units you have the more strategies are available. More stacks on the board wouldn't change much, having 7 stacks all together should be more than enough.

Consider this... you play Elf; would you like 5 stacks of 10 Shrews covering the entire board? You'd lose no matter what you had; and by the time the guy had 50 (well, 48) Shrews, he'd also have Hydras, Minos and Lizards for you to deal with. No matter how you split your stacks you would have no chance.
but when players will have all possible creatures up to tier 7 that would mean that we won't be able to split anything...

at the recruiting page you can also set the recruit count to 0
Never noticed that kusika never brings magi / lorekeepers into battle?
I think for level 11 and up .. there should be 9 Slots for Stacks .. I mean There Will be SO MANY troops will be brought by the HEROES (not LORDS, I do not like word LORDS, LOL)

Best regards,

NO OFFENSE, sorry .. ^^

Happy Gamings ^^
I like this idea.

But I don't think the additional boxes should be given freely. As several players suggested it changes the game too much at low levels so this should be restricted to high levels who have too many types of units anyway.

The admin can implement additional setup boxes as talents. This way it costs something to players and only high levels can use it. This talent would be like Tactics. Maybe have Tactics be the prereq for this new setup box talent.
they have the talent tactics for a reason. use it if you can
I'm sorry but I cannot agree at all with this suggestion. I have to point out, once again, the idea of 5 stacks of 10 Shrews; plus Hydras, Minos and Lizards.

I cannot imagine a scenario where you could beat that. 10 Shrews is just enough to stop any unit, including ranged. Especially with Tactics.

You might have a stack of 30-some GMB; but how would you block them from Shrews with Tactics? True they wont win the game out-right, but they will definitely put the game in the hands of the DE controlling them.
I'm not sure what exactly you mean by additional setup boxes...

If you are referring to the boxes for splitting stacks, I agree that we should have more of those.

But if you are referring to the boxes to place your troops, I dont think it is a good idea, because as misself said, they have the talent tactics for a reason.

oh right. NO! thats a big fat NO! things would be too complicated
why not have it in the upgraded construction section at the castle u could get it at level 12 for gold or pay real money for it at a lower level.

The new talent could always not be available for DE, but be available for other races. Not all talents are available to all races anyway.

Good idea.
12: You say:

ok, so what you would do is put a bunch of 1 units in front of your GMB to guard them. maybe get tactics to put more units in front of them... then just attack Shrews first with GMB. and, remember, they can split up their shrews but you can also split up your GMB so that you can attack each of their stacks
18 ~

You're forgetting that each stack of shrews will have their turns before you. They will kill the blockers and very likely damage and block your GMB on their first turn. Remember, Shrews have no retal, strike and return, and speed 9; and they almost always go first.

When you're done dealing with the shrews, your army will be in no shape to get rid of the Hydras and other units. Even worse if the guy has Lizard Assailants and Mino Soldiers.
ok, I have a new idea...
Get tactics.
Break up GMB into 3 groups located at in a north-south line in a corner of the map. Then, put 2 stacks of 2 or 3 unicorns to protect them. Use other units normally... then, you have something that the shrews cannot break through on their first turn.
