Author | A bow should be considered as a weapon of right hand. ^_^ |
Logically speaking. :D
So we can equip that as the requirement for the right hand weapon. |
nah. your back can shoot a bow and arrow while you have a sword and sheild in the other hand (jokeing of course =p) |
Well... actually, a bow should be left hand, as you hold the bow with your left hand and pull the elastic string with your right hand. But I think only arrows should be allowed on the back instead of the bow.... Although there are people who keep their bows on their back... |
I've seen Rambo strap his bow on his back... |
I dunno, elves are crazy. At one moment they'll be shooting arrows, at the next there's a dagger in your face :( |
its possible to shoot daggers insteada arrows right?... how about flamming daggers? |
for TheImmortalSin:
we have fire now? when did we get that? wasn't this in the past or something? |

lol |

Then it starts raining arrows T.T wat's wrong with elves... |
Would you rather it be raining daggers? If you consider an arrow and a dagger both at free fall and normal air resistance (the real-world kind)... yeah I'd prefer arrows. |
For throwing daggers: durability should be 2.
("10 arrows" artifact has durability 10, so "2 daggers" artifact should have durability 2)
Daggers should deal more damage, but at shorter distance, i.e. -1 distance to shooters.
Actually shooters are not throwers :)
So, there is another solution for daggers: some "throwers" (I'm not sure wich creatures?) become ranged creatures if you wear daggers.
I would like to see Minotaurs finally thwrowing their axes :)
(once their thow axes they have no retaliation, but later they do only HALF damage, because they have no weapons left, unless they pick up those axes again, but it takes time, ex, half turn) |
some "throwers"
Orcs. Case closed. |
Orcs.
They already are ranged creatures. I meant some melee creatures, which might become throwers (like minotaurs). It would be fun (more strategy). |

Orcs have no melee penalty, and they throw stuff at you (yet are still called shooters). ;)
They are essentially what you are describing. |
There is.Theif Crossbow is a right hand. |
Zombs or skelets could throw their heads LOL and cause some fear. And if they throw head they are uncontrollable for one turn. (move to any direction -zombs and hit if in someone of enemy (or alive creature) are close) skeletons shoots randomly to opposite side of field (ally or enemy). |

Out of topic. |
it was out of topic when we started talking about orcs :)
well I think items should have the option to be equipped on more than one place
in the case of a bow: you wear it on back by default, but if you have an item there, it defaults to the hand. this could also be applied to other weapons, like left-hand daggers, etc. |
