It is getting hard to gain exp with so few duels to choose from. I see 500 + online but the duels available are only few. How do you guys manage to level?
Go full arts on highest difficulty hunts and quests. Or do ambushes. Those things work for me.
You can do your hunts. Since your hunter guild level is low, your hunts should be easy. And if you get tired of waiting for duels and hunts, you can try your luck at merc quests. At level 5 you can still do a few of them, but not many.
I think the problem is that players used to go into combat without arts but now that you need a certain amount of AP to do combat it gets to expensive so players try for different things...
I hate the AP rule!!!
It's not the AP rule IMO. It's just that this game is created in a way that the more PvP battles you do, the weaker you'll be when you level up... Every duel is bad for you...
well not necessarily there used to be more duals and group battles.
still the AP rule is making battles more expensive...
For me it is AP rule. I would gladly participate in pvp, becouse it's much more fun then grinding in hunts, and u can sign whenever u want not once for 40 minutes. But now i can't afford it.I know some ppl say to get higher labor guild, but i don't want to spend all day online to enroll every time I can, it's just boring... pvp was fun part of this game, and it's not anymore, u have to avoid it to survive. I liked diversity of game styles before AP rule now, i think that everybody have to do the same: enroll --> hunt --> enroll --> hunt--> repeat. ofc all this is just my opinion.
7: Using your stats as an example: you got laborers guild 1 = you get 1.2 productivity so if you enroll on a mine with a wage of 175 you earn 210gold. Using 5 AP at your level to satisfy the AP rule needs a Light axe and a Defender shield which totally cost around 40 gold / battle. This means one hour of labor = 5 pvp battles with minimum artifacts ( which should be equivalent to the no arts battles you had before ). I don't really see why the min AP rule is such a huge problem....

it's because you, and everybody else you don't see complaining enroll in labor. i see so many people say it's just boring. but it's no more 'boring' than when you log in to this game. you type in your username and your password. right there you did more work than it takes to enroll in labor. To those people I ask: 'how did you manage to login? wasn't that too boring?'

that is meant as humor (figured i'd say that since sarcasm is often lost through text)

but as for the title of this thread: 'too few combat options' i disagree. if you log on, do the hunt waiting for you. finish that, do a mercenary quest after you heal, finish that then do a thief battle by the time you are healed your next hunt is usually ready for you by then. if not or you need a change do a group battle or duel or card game. or go stand around and wait for dragons to ambush you.

You are missing several points.
1. Not everyone uses the cheapest arts to satisfy the AP rule.
2. The wages need to be used for other purposes such as buildings, mini-arts, and roulette.
3. Before the AP rule, most players didn't use arts in battle because they couldn't afford to. There were plenty of complaints about the lack of gold and cheaters with their multis.

500+ online players isn't that much. Although the number of battles have significantly decreased since the new AP rule, they were low to begin with. Just do some math and it makes sense. 500 players - 250 AFK players - 125 Hunters - 60 Merc/Thief. Then of course not everyone is the same level as you... so you separate by level too. And don't forget there's a lot of injured players.
As a general reply to all the posts so far I will simply say that I don't care if we lose players due to the AP rule. Those who enjoy it and can deal with it should stay, and those who have so much trouble handling it should go... as they wouldn't make it very far in this game anyways.

Before the AP rule I did not manage my gold well. I always would like to hunt, PvP, and do Merc Missions with arts but I could never afford them. Now, I have learned how to deal with my gold to the point where I can always have arts AND I am still making gold. The new rule forced me to learn how to manage my gold. It seems those that complain would rather not have to care about their money and wouldn't learn how to be profitable in this game anyways. Besides, in the later levels you are forced to have arts for just about everything anyways. I couldn't imagine doing my Merc Missions or any solo hunts without them now... and even PvP most people would prefer to wear arts.
Ap rule does't matter. The real problem is that pvp is badly rewarded in this game. There is no guild for it, no gold from this activity. It's only a waste of arts. You ca do it only if you want to have fun, sometimes. But jus a question: isn't this a multiplayer game? Well, ok, it is. So, DEAR ADMINS, create this blessed Fighters' Guild! Make worth reward for pvp!
Well if you look at my char page you would see i have like 140 000 gold so yea and got best art i can get...i distaste the AP rule.
if i require money i would just do the jobs... i do it anyway... but still some ppl would have left because of it and therefore potential donaters which loses money... id say see what the players like in the game and work for that because a game is ment to be fun for the majority

Just like Luckas said it... The PvP battles that we players enjoy the most are the worst thing for us. We get a lot of Exp waste money and get nothing in return... except Fsp which you get in hunts, merc quests and thief missions as well - besides other bonuses

as long as u do hunts only, ur hunting monster will become harder and harder
until u cant hunts anymore

if u do pvp-battle, u'll get a lot of exp, lvl up, and do more hunts

so i think, the combination of hunts+pvp(1 win pvp/2days maybe) is the best

In fact there should be a guild for PvP battles I think. Something to encourage people to play more against each other. It is more fun. But in hunt you can get an art, you recieve hunter points, merc and thief quest, quite the same thing, + initiative, + primary skill, element, invitation. There is reward for everything except PvP.
