Authorgender abilities
Female
Knight 10% increase in initiative
Elf 5% to favored enemy
Dark elf 10% increase in initiative
Demon 10% in initiative of gated units
Necro 15% health reduction instead of 20%
Barb 10 % increase range damage
Wizard 10 % reduced mana consumption


Male
Knight 10% increase in defense
Elf 10% increase in in dammage on favored hits
Dark elf 10% increase in damage
Demon 10% increase in gated units
Necro 10% increase in raised units
Barb 10% increase in melee damage
Wizard 10% increase in spell affects
i thought about this to make each charicter unique and i woundering what you think of it

should be 10% increase magic damage
for Away:
nope. no major use in the future, we are known for our speed in higher levels. magic is next to useless for us in higher levels
IOI shrews always dead soon than I feel hard to deal damage :(
Sorry, I think this would be a bad idea.... Later some guy chooses to be a female just cause he liked "her" special
it is too unbalanced.
I think differentiating male and female character's abilities are good, makes heroes feel more unique.

most of those bonuses might be implemented as unique talents that are available to each gender. Or reduce cost of that particular talent if that talent is already available.

for example
Female Barb 10 % increase range damage:
implement as female barb's archery talent only costs 4 points rather than 7.

Female Wizard 10 % reduced mana consumption:
make Mana recovery take 5 talent points rather than 8.
It's a good idea but the bonus you propose, azabukinie, are waaaaaay over the top in my humble opinion :)

I'd see something more generic, and more gentle, like:
- +1% initiative for women
- +2% damage for men

Or something like that. But it would have a side-effect: people would be inclined to choose their online gender accordingly to the bonus, and not anymore because of personal taste.

If you think shrews die earluier you should watch some of our battles. They are usually last to die.

wat does that mean? 5% extra chance for it to occur?
i disagree with this idea, all factions already have a bonus
it was a starting idea just to put more factors in the game
nonono...10% bonus to initiative!? everyone would be knights and DEs!
Then i would be "OHO" :D
P.S. Russian speaking ppl will get it ;) (i hope)

it was a idea i think it may be less inrease maybe to 3% at max for all 10% it was just a easy number to do
heck i'll take the 10% increase to gated units if it helps get 1 extra devil ROFL

well it would be better if we used the homm5 special abilities for heroes example:
vampire lord:all vampire and vampire count in heroes army get +1 atk and def
it will make alot of unique abilities to all heroes
