AuthorSignet Ring Factory Refurbishment
As there always seems a shortage of Rings of Morale, how about increasing the potential workforce so an extra 3 or 4 rings can be produced per hour?

Cheers
cool
There are always some on the market with only about +100-200 for each, so the production is sufficient, just some people are holding them for a while. Its not so bad like in times of defender shield shortage.
The fact that there is hoarding going on as the rings are snapped up in a few seconds means it is an issue that requires addressing.

Slowly but surely the number of people playing this game is increasing. Market stress is already occurring with this Ring. It can only get worse. Producing an extra 3 or 4 rings per hour should not be game breaking. Hopefully it should be enough to end the hoarding.

Cheers
I see no stress, myself. Rings are availiable on market with a minor cost increase, there is hardly a shortage.
Agree with shebali, there is no shortage. There are loads on the market everyday for 100-200 gold increase. Not much you can earn that back in one hour from enrolling.
LOL, I love the wordsmithing.

By the very fact that all the Rings of Morale are snapped up within seconds every hour says there is (a)
a. supply problem.
b. hoarding problem
c. mild extortion occurring at the market because of a and b.

The Rings of Morale are very popular for low to mid level players, and they have low durability.

Every other factory has excess stock, so players can chose to travel or buy at the market. Profitability is available at the market for almost any item, however profit margins are very comparatively extremely high for the Ring of Morale because of the points listed above in a and b.

I'll admit the problem is not yet extremely worrisome, but with a growing player base, mild supply stress will get worse. I'll also admit the problem is not yet as bad as the Mercury, Magic Powder, Defender Shield and Stave crisis we have had in ths past.

There is a simple solution to this problem. Increase the number of workers to allow the production of an additional 3-4 Rings of Morale per hour and that should end the supply problem (and at the same time not creating a severe oversupply).

To those who suggest there is no problem or try to play it down let me just say "And pigs fly backwards 10 days a week".

I agree with you all.

There's no shortage problem, just a hoarding problem. The supply problem for the rings is the same as the defender shields. There were always plenty of defender shields in the market.

But because some players hoard it makes it difficult to impossible for others to directly buy from the factory. I think increasing the supply or any number of numerous suggestions can be done to fix this issue.
There are plenty of rings on the market with only a little profit for the seller. I've got some in my inventory, wrote a topic in forum this morning, that I want to sell them cheap and guess what... Over the whole day no one wanted only one. I sold them for factory price to a seller to get some fluid money.

And when I am at factory at shift end I always manage to get at least one ring, sometimes up to 3.

There is no shortage and I wouldn't raise the working places. Where's the fun of beeing a merchant if you can get anything anytime?
#7:

The production of Ring of Inspiration was increased few weaks ago. Now, during the evening/night, you can buy up to 4 per shift without any stress. I found during the night 4 rings even 5 or (max) 10 minutes after the shift was over.
Re 8 - I have thought about alternatives. Introducing another Signet Ring factory could result in a major oversupply. Also limiting 1 purchase every 5 minutes would disadvantage someone who would like to wear 2 rings in battle. I think increasing the factory workforce and output would have more balanced results.

Re 9 - There are "plenty" of rings on the market because people are disenchanted with the price. If there was truly "plenty" of rings at the market the profit margin would truly be a "little", rather than your interpretation of a "little".

There is plenty of fun being a merchant, but only corrupt or poorly regulated financial systems allow hoarders to control or unduly influence price, demand and supply.

Re 10 - I also have been paying attention to this for a few weeks. The longest I have ever seen rings of morale available was for a few minutes. In almost every case irrespective of whether there are 1300 players online or 530 players online, the rings are snapped up in seconds. There are easily enough players that know there is a suppy problem at the factory, and that there is easy money to be gained by overpricing the rings at market because there is no alternative source to buy the ring.

The fact that Hoarders control the market proves there is a supply problem. No "ifs" and no "buts" about it. Proof is proof. Denial cannot be substantiated by fact. Wordsmithing is also easily observed for what it is.

Now if the game designers want to ignore or wait on this issue that is their choice. But for players to suggest there is no problem, who are you trying to fool?

Cheers
Better add more posts at Ring of Morale ... Then will produce more and more .. ^^
8. I disagree, the defender shields were not a problem of hoarding. It was a problem of insufficient supply. There were times when you could sell a defender shield through market for 5000 and the market was empty. The supply problem occurs, when there is part of a day when there are no full durability items(defender shields/rings) on the market. Only thing you can find is something like 11/38 defender shield for 4000. This is my definition of shortage.

When you want to know if there is a shortage of something click on the transfer log of fusei. She is the queen of the market vultures. When she doesnt profit, there is no problem. :-) I think the admins have used her ability too, because I have noticed that everytime fusei sold some mercury/gems, 10 000 of every resource appeared. :-D
@11 Let's calculate: Now I can get a ring for 4885 gold, facility price is 4738. Tax for seller is around 49 gold. So he gets 4836, which makes a profit of 98 gold. Wooha!

You really want to say that 2% more costs are a cause for players to boykott market prices and play without their ring of inspiration?

About 2 months ago I sold round shields with more profit...

/Irony on/

Admins, please close the market for normal resources and arts. Some players make profits!

/Irony off/

Or how about an available choice. If the price at the market is attractive enough, buy at the market. If the price is too expensive at the market you have a choice to travel to the Signet Ring Factory (with all the risks it entails) and buy one there. For any other item you can do that.

Increasing the level of cynicism does not invalidate my points. There is a supply problem and there is a hoarding problem. Some of the rings are also be offered at the market at 5000 gold. With a growing player base the supply and hoarding problem can only get worse.

I can understand how players could be upset at my comments if they have 20+ Rings of Morale in their equipment list with the intent to hoard more and make the prices even higher.

Cheers
