The multiplication-sign?
20%+4%*[Demon skill level]
Twenty plus four times your racial skill level.
And remember that multiplication comes before addition. |

In your case it's 24%. ;)
Then when you level up Demon again it's 28%. |
20% of your troops + 4% x your racial skill.
so 20% + 4% = 24% which is yours right now.

| What about imp 1 and 23 does they carries 24% gating? |
Also, in your case, if you have 1 imp and you try to gate, you don't get 0.24 imps (impossible).

I don't think it has been officially written on the game manual. But based on my experience playing with demon faction, this seems to hold true. The higher your faction level, it is easier to gate stacks of 1. Also, I have tried to gate a stack of 3 succubi with racial 3 (32% chance) and it failed. Gating also never failed for me when the stack is above 3 units (with racial 3). |

I watched battle reviews of some demon players, and I believe what the formula actually calculates is the CHANCE of EACH unit successfully gating ONE unit, which explains why the number of units in the gated stack isn't constant. |
