AuthorNo fair challenges
I've been playing for a little while, but I'm having trouble getting points, because I hardly ever find a fair challenge. It's all "1-4 vs 1-2", with the challenger at 4 of course, and similar. Why are so many people here scared of a fair fight?

When I try a challenge of my own - a fair one - people don't join it. It's wierd.
try dueling...people only join if they think they've got a chance(or a 100%) to win
A bit cowardly, though? Even with duelling, more than half the time it's 1-2 vs 1-1...
There are few level 1s that play grouop battle. They either follow the guide telling them not to hunt or the man in the book who never told people to do group battles before level 3
I would dare say that 99% of the gamers here would tell you to not do duels at all until at least level 3, and even then its not really suggested.

At levels 1-2 your hunts come every 15 minutes or so. From level 3 on its like 40 minutes or more. Take advantage of this by ONLY doing hunts and enrolling (work)

There are a few stickies (the threads that have the paper clip sign next to them) that will tell you all about this in further detail. You REALLY should read those as they are full of helpful info especially for newbies.
hunts come after 20~30 min thats half of 40~60 min for levels 3+ btw as the new ap rules have come hutn till level 5 then wear nominal arts and do merc quest at level 8 wear full arts and do theifs guild quests thats the most common suggestion
Thanks for all the replies, and the help. I'll follow the advice (but I'm still puzzled by the fact that so many people here seem to be scared of a fair fight...).

the fact is they dont want to loose so that they dont loose their money by the ap rule

please close your topic if your query is answered
for extremea: There is no AP rule for level 1s.

for Gloria again: Also, level 1 wizards are hard to beat(almost impossible) with the exception of demons..
It is obvious that most people want to win, but I think she's not used to the lack of sportsmanship that is apparently evident among the lower level players (1 to 4).
Lack of sportsmanship/being afraid to lose/unconfidence in their own ability, yes I think you could attribute the few fair fights to that. And it's also possible that newcomers have a greater tendency to display such behavior.
I must disagree with Lucid-naz. What he suggests is a simple selftorture.

This game is supposed to be fun. No fun = No game - you'll go find another online game, right?

You're level 2 so... Do duels. Only duels. Don't rush into group battles until you're level 3. Ok?

When you get to level 3 (and it isn't that hard, trust me, I got to level 3 in 24 hours being dark elf so you should also be able to do that with wizard) forget duels and join only 3 vs 3 random fights - 30 secs. And do that UNEQUIPPED. This is very important. Don't waste arts in fights till you're level 5. Ok? Sell 'em or keep 'em for later.

Why 3 vs 3? Because those fights gain most experience even if you lose in one. Yes I know, 6 ppl means higher possibility of idlers, however don't get too nervous about it.
You can't win every fight. So what if you get someone that is AFK? Next battle the other side will have one, right? ;)
Anyway, some people call this game "Lords of AFK" because the penalty for being AFK is 2 hours of bad luck. If the penalty was 24 hours or money withdrawal then we probably wouldn't have so many idlers, but... That's not going to change. That's why you set the timer on 30 secs. This way the idlers will be out of the game quicker than in 45 secs group battle.

And why 3 vs 3 random fights? That way noone can deliberatly "cheat" his multicharacters in the battle on the opposite side and put 'em AFK just to win. Also you have a better chance to avoid already experienced players who always play on the same side - your opposite. More on the matter, players who rely on arts instead of skills can't "join the side with most arts" if the battle type is random. ;)

In a matter of days (10-15) you'll get to level 5. On level 5 you have to use arts. Now please do read ipslne posts about arts strategy. Ok? On levels 5 and 6 go with his "minimal arts" suggestion and keep fighting 3 vs 3 randoms.

On level 7... You're... Scr... Um... Sorry... Doomed. :)
On level 7 most players are fully equipped in all battles. And you won't have enough money (unles you steal your dad's mastercard ;), just joking) to buy such amount of arts. So on level 7 forget group battles and start doing Mercenary quests.
What I suggest here is to get to level 7 as soon as possible just to be able to win most of early Mercenary quests because these quests are very hard for low level players, and just as hunts they bring money and experience.

On level 8... Sorry haven't got to that level yet. ;)

Just to add, all the time you play, please do:
- keep enrolling to facilities - that brings money and later stats increase
- keep hunting - that also brings money and later stats incease
- don't go to mercenary quests before you get to level 7 - that wastes money!
- don't do enchanting or item repairs - that's definetly a money waste on low levels and gets you no stats on better levels
- don't play cards - that's a time waste for what? 2 hours of good luck? forget it. unless you like to play it.
- don't gamble at all - again a money waste and there is no fun at all in that
- thieves' guild? you don't need that one at all unless you really want to do it for fun and of course, unless you have diamonds to use on early upgrades.

And for last let me say this again. You can't win all the time. However, when you lose, you still get some experience. So join as much fights as you can. Don't calculate. Don't open 1 level 5 players vs 3 level 1 players. Don't search only for upgraded players or always side with ones who are fully equipped. Where's the fun in that? Why not join the less equipped side and win in that one? And believe me, it is possible. Check my battle logs. I love challenges and when that happens. ;)
Joxer, the real fun in not messing with some weak units and a small playing field. The real fun is when you get loads of spam units and a larg battle field. So if you want to have fun later on after level 8, don't listen to Joxer. You can tell he is doing something wrong comparing his guild stats to other level 7s. Yes he is having fun, but only for now. Don't come back and complain about can't beat anything later on.^^ I seriously tell you you will need these guilds, or you will feel no fun later on....
Oh man, this is really getting off-topic. I don't have the heart to delete such a long post that someone took so much time to type, but I will close this.
