What is the better time to start the mercenaries guild quests?.

I would like to suggest that , start from level 5 .
7 when you get fort
a few points before MG 2 simply do nothing
At level 5 for wiz, lvl 6 at least for other factions, or level 7.

At level 5, you will have to nor wear a good set to complete quests, nor skip many quests.

About merc quest, you shouldn't consider this only as a +1 stats, but also a good income... So, IMO, going merc quests with a good set is a waste.
i got my 2nd element at 42 point
so it isnt really a good income for unlucky people like me
better you wait till 7 and you can complete more quest easier with min art
I agree with slust. MG is mainly a source of income, so doing it with more arts = waste. Wait until level 7. One point wont matter too much.

Think that the basic gold reward for completing quests almost compensate the cheapest set with min AP.

So that elements are the income.

And this is all about probability... In first few quest, I get very few elements; by now too, while during a week, I get roughly for 30 000 gold in elements.

With patience, merc quests will pay :)
I manage to do ~25 quest at level 5 as a DE with min ap, and aprox the same at level 6. 50 quest ~= 10 elements, if you are lucky it can grant you lots of cash (relative to your level).
It's very usefull if you want to start thiefing early on.
I think 6-7 depending on the player's skill
