In the description the Cape of Winds claims to have a 25% air resistance bonus. A friend of mine claims that this includes air magic _and_ ranged attacks. I was always under the impression that it is only elemental resistance; though I can't say I know for sure.
What is the general consensus on this matter? |
i doubt it? |
In fight it just says Air Resistance 25% (If you Ctrl + Click twice), Could be interprited either way |
I was always under the impression that it is only elemental resistance;
YES it is. |
I am not 100% sure, but from my own experiences (against caravans of DE and wizards) it doesnt lower the damage from their hero
So i think its ranged only |
Sven91 I'm rather positive it lowers damage from the hero's air spells. Not by much though.
For example, two Wizard caravans at 14 spell power. In the one where I don't use CoW, lightning takes out 13-14 efk. When I do use it it will take out 11-12 efk; which is about 25% less damage. When I have CoW as well as a Unicorn adjacent to my efk, that number drops to 8-10.
These have all been observed. |
Sorry for the double post... I should also add that Mithril armor, helm, and boots are usually constant in those observations; however up to 10% air resist enchantments may or may not have been in those specific battles. |
