Redraw Employment Code

AuthorRedraw Employment Code
Sometimes the Employment Code is illegible, and it is frustrating when the code is especially illegible, and you have no chance to get it right (as happened to me tonight).

It is even more frustrating that the code never seems to change, no matter how many incorrect attempts you make, or log off and back on, or apply for a different job.

With other internet applications that use these codes eg Yahoo Mail, the code changes after each incorrect attempt.

Why can't the great team at Lordswm.com have a "Redraw Code" button or a different code after each failed attempt?

I am sure I am not the only one who has gotten very frustrated with this problem.

Cheers
never :) its really not hard at all to figure out the correct code, i enrolled more than 3000 from both accounts, and never a time i failed to figure the code

and if you have problem, right click on that image, go to its properties and copy the link, then post it in QaH

or else the code does changes, once every hour at 00 min

sorry but isnt this just making oit more complicated than it has to be? straws maybe you dont have problems but others do so why is this idea so wrong. why bother posting in chat or forum every time u get it wrong when they could have a new code button? saves precious time
I guess complicated is a matter of perspective, as it is now the game has to keep exactly one code at any given time. Allow to refresh them would probably mean to generate a new code whenever an enrollment page is requested and the game has to keep track of them. This plus the fact that enrollment concentrate on certain times might be a bad thing.
Straws - Between my 3 characters I have enrolled over 2000 times. Most of the time there is no problem, despite the fact that about a dozen times I couldn't read the code and had to guess. Excluding last night I worked it out in a couple of tries. So sorry if that means I failed your "gifted" test.

Last night the code was just about impossible, although after many frustrating attempts I finally got it.

I don't think it is difficult for the programmers to to modify the employment process by adding a code that changes after a few errors. I also think it would be advantageous to players who's native language does not include a Latin based Alphabet, as these players would have even more difficulty recognising some of the characters.

Cheers

like she said, it might be easy to be coded, but it will cause the server more strains

and sometimes the letters are cropped, maybe thats why you got it wrong last night?

quite untrue, enrolling from 3 different accounts at the same facility--every single time they were different. plus I think Raven means a "generate new code" button next to the image, quite different from your "change every refresh" idea.

Yes the letters and more importantly the numbers were badly cropped.

I fail to see how a random generation could cause any significant server strain, especially if there was a cooldown period of eg 1 minute on the Code refresh.

Cheers
Agree should have option "REDRAW"
Yes, great idea. It could be a simple "new captcha" (or however you spell the captcha thing) or "new code" button, that simply executed the code for getting the captcha in the first place. The code for that might simply select a random box and put it on the screen.

Overall, I give this idea 2 thumbs up, as I sometimes have difficulty with confusing a q and a 9 (their different here, but look at them on the box sometime), and several times I've seen numbers or letters chopped off partway, once so bad I could only see the bottom quarter of the number 2.
This won't change in the foreseeable future.
