Worrying about hunts getting too strong too fast is like worrying about the sun running out of hydrogen to burn. By the time that happens we'd probably either own several stars already or we'd be extinct. It's a none issue. Let's worry about that later, shall we? XD
Anyway, I'm of the opinion that hunts should be a limited "resource" that should be managed like it is right now. I personally use hunts to raise my weaker factions and use thieving as my main boosting activity. Everyone should plan their strategy and not complain when you "run out" of hunts. Couldn't agree more. As soon as I planned a faction change, I stopped hunting and merc quests. I earned experience only through ambushes and group battles. When I finally gained a level, I switched faction. I had plenty of gray and green dot hunts awaiting me.
