this cleary favorites how are online when is much players so they get easier ambushes while i can wait hour and i dont get anythink some chance on this. this doesent make any sence why its cant as easy to get ambush than when is lesser players online becose all doesent live in same timezone!!! |

i've been waiting for 1 hour yesterday and 30 minutes this morning and no ambush again :(
3x in a row (ok, i had one ambush just now)
some racial points addicts are hoping to lose against AI.. still, most of us hopes for a player without arts.
so, here's an idea:
after 5 minutes of waiting for victim, a "just ambush some caravan" button could appear in which case ambush against AI would start immediately. that way, roads would be slightly safer, racial addicts would have plenty of chance to lose against caravans - as they please, and we would at least have that ambush while we're still young |

To help you; after 15min it stops. So in 1hr 30min, you should have been able to do 6x of full 15min waiting.
I do see it as a problem cause I, myself, have experienced over 10 times where i needed to wait over an hour (more than 4x attempts to ambush) for an ambush. But I see the admins reasons behind tying ambushing to players traveling.
My recommendation is increasing the number of players traveling via merc quests. New merc quests can be made that requires players to travel. Also some of those new merc quests could be to specifically against thieves. For example: Defeat 1 player thief, Defeat 1 knight player thief, Patrol between the Capital and Yellow Lake 3 times to clear the roads of thieves, etc. |

4. But then, thief guild's bonus zwould give too much of an advantage to the thief. Think of the classic example, the wizard: no spell bonus, average initiative... and the fact that after the first defeat, there would be a 3 hours delay before the quest get completed..:/ |

hmm, ok, i overreacted. it seemed as 30 minutes each time
you know, length of one minute depends on which side of the toilette doors you are :)
however including new MG quest seems like a distant future, while "fight AI" button seems like an easy thing to do.. not that i know anything about programing..
anyway, something should be done 'cause this is too much time wasting.
at least instead of ambush not happening, ambush against AI? |

1. The victims can also have thief guild bonus lvls.
2. Wizards can fight against thieves. I won't say it's completely balanced, but wizards aren't consistently losing.
3. there would be a 3 hours delay before the quest get completed What are you smoking? Since when do the next merc quest take 3 hours?
Anyway if you don't like certain merc quests, you can always decline. If you think wizards are too weak because of no spell bonus and average intiative in TG, then what about knights who have below average initiative? Also it would be a good balance for the game if wizards don't get spell bonus for these thief related merc quests. |

This just gives players the ability to fight only caravans. Programming implementation would be easy, but game design and balance implementation are a bit harder.
Also this leads to quick TG leveling. We can only do HG once per hour, why should TG be 5minutes or less? |
But as far as i understood the idea was to make MG quest to patrol 5 x times YL <=> GC, if you are ambushed and you loose - you loose the MG quest. (if till last time you havn`t ambushed by player than AI ambushes you. |

no it is not like that. there is still 5 minutes period in which anything could be ambushed. or 15 minutes period in case of automatic combat start with AI if nothing is ambushed so far.
as for fast TG, yeah it makes it slightly faster, but the more you fight caravans, the harder they get. which means you will lose more and wait for 1 hour 'till the next ambush setup every time you lose. btw, better to progress in any guilds faster, than waiting..
if i've decided to waste certain parts of my life on playing this game, doesn't mean i like to waste it on waiting for nothing to happen :)

waiting ambush is certainly a waste of time. At least, every time you set up an ambush, you should be able to do one. Instead of wasting 15 min waiting for nothing to happen. |

I don't mind waiting just 15min. What the rest of us are really complaining about is that sometimes we need to go through several consecutive 15min waits of nothing happening. |

That's right. It must be something about that. You can't wait one hour for every ambush, while you have rent the TGi and you ahve to return it soon. |
And when at last you have an ambush, it happens to be a caravan, impossible to win. |
