Repair

AuthorRepair
Hi all,

I just did my first repair and I'm a little lost -

1) I have to pay (can't remember the exact amount, where can I check how much I paid?) about 550 golds to repair a Steel Blade 3/30 (10%). To cut a long story short, the repair cost is more than what I would pay if I were to buy a brand new one. (?) I know I get some Smith Guild points in return, but since all I get for leveling up is to repair arts at a higher efficiency (I don't get any arts or parameter points bonus for getting to the next guild level), why do most people do this?

2) I assume the cost for repair will go up the higher guild level I get?

3) I read somewhere that people charge others to repair arts. But if my 1st experience is any indication, what profit can u make when the base charge for repair is already higher than buying a new one?

Thanks in advance.
1) Smiths' guild: 0 (0.14) +29.9
Every 4k spent for repairing will give you 1 point, so its a huge amount of money if you want to be a good smither. Once you get a very high efficiency you will earn profit mostly by repairing hunter, thief and rare artifacts that cant be bought.

2)Yeah in a way. The costs dont go up but you need more points to the next level

3)see 1)

yes, the repair cost is approx 40% of the artifact shop's price, while you can sell a worn art for approx 65% back, that makes you paying 35% for 100% durability art in return

no

for smiths with lower levels, they don't charge full of repairing cost, and they pay the rest

for why people do smithings, think about rare arts, thief arts, hunter arts and enchanted arts :)
Thanks for the replies, all. Much appreciated.

Hmmm.. never thought of that.. BUT since there are so many higher level smithers than me, what chance people would ask me to do repair even when I get to higher guild levels? hmm.. this game not only must be good in battles, tactics and strategies etc, you must also be very good in.... PR ! hahaha... :p
