I'm pretty sure we have been in a hunt with an assist from another player, but once the battle starts they suddenly become AFK leaving the other player at the hands of the enemy. So here is my suggestion:
If the hunter has an assist helping him/her and that assist goes AFK and does not return, then the leading hunter can temporarily take control of the assist's army until AFTER THE BATTLE!!!

| There have been loads of suggestions previously asking for players who afk to be controlled by other players or the computer, and I have always been in favour of them, so yes I do think it is a good idea (though I find there is always a lot of other ppl not in favour of it). |
| Been suggested 5.38*10^8 times, admins have taken this point into account already but most probably wont happen. |
