Authorquestion about hunter set
well, but when i check the stats of your druids in both the battles you posted, they did have 8-10 min-max damage each time, while normally they only have 7-9: so they do have the set bonus activated..

As of the damages made by the lightening in the second post, i cannot explain it, unless it had something to do with some talents, pheraps, instead of the set? (have to check the wheel for this one, though)
Technically speaking, since a wiz has its racial bonus when doing MQ, hunters set bonuses should be there too, since both are only available against neutrals.

but elves are supposed to be favored against all neutral creatures but in MG they are not ;)

not exactly:
"
All monsters at hunt are regarded as favoured enemies, regardless of who is chosen as one, except elvish faction creatures"

It doesn't say "all neutral creatures" but "all monsters at hunt", meaning that only when you hunt, and not when you do MQ or TG, you will get our racial bonus.

Also, in your hunt, you had a "favoured enemy: zombies
+1", wich i think might be the reason why your damage dealing with a spell was higher than usual. then again, both battles showed the same statistic: +20%, +5%, +1 from hunter set. So i keep thinking that the set did its job properly :)

read: you will get *your* racial bonus (sorry ^^")

thats not how it works

yes a talent that weekens ur spells thats the answer (not)
for telca:

i played as elf for a while with one of my multi accounts. i used to check hunter records in elven faction a lot, and i am 100% sure that hunter set 20% bonus damage in hunts affects magics of both sprites and druids. and there's no other way to increase that magical damage. no talents out there that would do it.

favored enemy doesn't affect magics at all. it just gives you some % chance to do crits (double damage). i have never seen critical magic strike, and i didn't because it doesn't exist.

in MG it could be that hunter set 20% bonus works in monster and raid quests, but i am not sure at all that this is the case.

as for +1 min/max and initiative effects, they work even in PvP.

and i'd like to repeat - don't waste hunter set in MQs, 'cause it's not worth it.

cheers :)
I dont know the reason to the hunter set not working _but_ all creatures in mercenery quests regardless of which kind are neutrals. Wizard spell bonus works proves that.
if druids made a crit shot with lightning it would be written down in the chat , also you can hold CTRL & Double LeftClick on monster to see if the Thread Starter was using Hunter Set both times ( in hunt & in MQ ), when you check those things out you could get to the conclusion easy, right ?
*i didnt get to read all previous posts cuz they are too darn long & some r boring & i'd give you my direct opinion if i watched the battles *
ok they are indeed then nuetral but have we proved yet that the hunter set 20% extra damage doesnt work?

well for merc quests yet i mean to say

if u mean me i was the one who posted link but i didnt start this thread

dang good question ^^"

The problem is that set's bonuses are appearing in both battle stats, yet it is obvious that there is a difference at least in the magic system.

If a math guy/gal could take the time to calculate phisical attacks on both and let us know if the set is being taken into account for real or not at least there.. :)

(i'm not that good when it comes to equations.. +.+ )

p.s.: for the talents, i was referring to some talent that influence creature's spells in the second battle, like wizard light affinity that reduces their spells mana cost (in the meanwhile i checked and no, you couldn't and didn't have any such talent indeed ^^')

if u mean they appear when u control click twice, well it is the same in PVP

i dont see the effect only taking place in physical attacks and not magic for merc quests
