AuthorAFK battle stats on character page
As the title says. List in the combat stats of each player the number of times they have been booted from battle for being AFK.

At least people could then see other player's records and decide if they are worth playing the game with.

Thanks.
And to add to that:

A filter option when creating a battle to set the maximum amount of AFK's a player can have. That is, players with more AFK's than what the combat is set for will not get the "join" link on that combat listing.
Hmmm.. that will sure eleminate afks but the game would lose population. I mean, its a pity a big percentage of all active players afks really often. Also its unfair to those who have bad connection etc. So I don't know if I should support. But it wouldn't be possible as admins priorite population growth atm
The surest way to kill the server population is to have new people join and then get into group battles with AFK players.

I nearly quit this game entirely after the first week because of so many AFK players. In fact, I do very little group battles now beacuse of this. It's a shame beacuse group battles can be great.

I'm also reluctant to recommend the game to friends because the gaming experience in group battles is so poor.

BTW, I don't see how population would drop. The AFK players might leave, but they can still play with their own kind by simply setting up battles allowing high numbers of AFK's. For the ones that do actually leave there will be more who actually join, stay and recommend the game to other people.

In short, not doing something about AFK players is a direct detriment to growing the server population.
What if people have a good reason for afking once or twice? Then they are known to everyone else as a bunch of losers. And now no one will play with them? I'm sure everyone has afked at least once.

That's the low level players. At the higher levels afk is very rare (exception thief battles cause people afk while traveling).

I think the filter or display option should show AFK as a % of their total combats. It's pretty obvious that those with higher # of combats should have higher # of AFKs.

Slow down there.

The idea is that when a player creates a battle that player can set the number of allowed AFK's for those who join. I'm pretty sure most would allow a few AFK's since that can happen to everyone from time to time. Or, as Pantheon says, set it as a % of total combats -- 1% would mean one AFK allowed per 100 battles the player has had, 2% would mean 2, and so on.

The problem is playing long enough to get to a level where AFK is rare -- a lot of people will just stop playing before they get to a point where they are high enough level.
