Author | Two hunts in one battle II |
Hi all,
I was just reading Littlenew's thread about her encounter with a double hunt for the first time.. and lost. I wanted to asked my Q there, but she locked it before I could. :p
I have encountered such double hunts quite a few times myself but I have won all of them, so I was surprised that she, and the other player, lost hers.
My Q is this -
I know that double hunts may occur when creatures "takes to their heels" - which means the system thinks (correctly) that the (player's) Hero is much stronger than them (neutral creatures), and that is why they run.
As such, I have always thought when 2 hunts merged, both are from creatures taking to their heels (2 Heroes vs 2 sets of creatures taking to their heels), so it would still be an easy hunts.
But after reading littlenew's post, my assumption may not be right, and that creatures taking to their heels may actually merge with another hunt that is rated Hard or even, Challenging.
From now on there is a poor likelihood of neutrals to flee until they catch up with another group of neutrals being under attack by a different Lord.
This part of the announcement don't exactly go into details, so under what conditions (if any) are hunts merged?
Thanks in advance. |
No conditions. There is a set chance when creatures take to their heels and when there is another players +/-1 or the same level as you with their creatures also taking to their heels in the same region, merged hunt will happen. |

ask them the colour of hunts and if their creatures fleed
what makes these hunts challenging is a combination of ranged + melee or melee + caster in this case
i'm pretty sure that upto yellow hunts gets merged, red and red! don't merge. |

took the words right out of my mouth
lets say you plan to fight 1000 zombies you know you will win because you will run with ur sprites and not die
lets say someone else fights 300 bowman
ur hunts are merged:
you cant block shooters because zombies will hit you
you cant run with sprites because bowman will shoot you
there is ur problem |
red and red! don't merge.
I'm pretty sure they don't, coz both hunt creatures wouldn't be taking their their heels! haha.. :p
Yes Guru, I might have to ask the other player next time I get one of this merged hunt.
But does anyone knows now if a 'taking to their heels' hunt can merge with a Red or Red! hunt that's starting at around the same time?
Thanks. |
For Jedi:
Yes even the ones marked red do end up in "double" hunts.

Alrighty then. Good news to get the answer, not so good news to know hard hunts can be part of merged hunts. haha..
I'll leave this open for some minutes if anyone wanna give their input, and then close it.
Thanks all. :) |
My hunt was against 80 griffin, which is yellow. Not sure if the other party, but I guess it's not green. |
I just got a mail with a link where this level 10 player had a Green hunt with "627 infected zombies and the other player came in with red marked 204 monks."
So question answered for one and all. :)
Thanks all.
