Well I'm lvl 3 now and I still fight only lvl 1 monsters for 20 xp and 70 gold. When will I get tougher enemies? Does it only depend on hunter guild lvl?
Also I took on a quest from the Merc Guild but I was confronted with lvl 5 monsters and of course can't beat it.
The quest is still there even though it says:
"Go, please, good luck to you, you still have 2 attempts and '-588' minutes."
Do I have to manually cancel it somehow? Since I already ran out of time. | keep doing hunts and the numbers of enemies will increase making it harder,
the merc guild mission you are doing is a Army of ..... mission
you unfortunately i think you need to fight them 2 more times and then you will be able to clear it by reporting failure back to the merc guild | | thanks for the answer! | i don't think so
since the time has expired, i believe you can just report your loss back to MG

and to get more high teir monster in hunts, level up your hunter guild. each win against a certain creatures raises the next encounter (with the same creature) by 30%
also, don't try merc quests till at least level 5 | next time when you face the same monsters in hunting, the number of them will increase by 30% if you kill them by youself last time, so don't worry about no tougher enemies. They will be really tough as time goes on! :p
as for the merc guild "army quest", if it is not automatic cancelled after running out of time then you have to try another 2 times.. not really sure about this. Although a little bit waste of time, you can just get a little free exp... | When will I get tougher enemies?
Each time you defeat them, their numbers will increase the next time you meet them. (You might not believe it now, but next time you will be wishing hunts were easier.)
Does it only depend on hunter guild lvl?
Hunter guild level determines the type of monsters you can encounter. For each level that you attain in the hunter guild, you will unlock a fixed set of monsters, so there is a chance you will meet them, in addition to those already unlocked.

Since you already ran out of time, the quest is considered failed. In order to continue, you have to report your loss back to the mercenaries guild at Yellow Lake, where they will give you another quest after a "cooldown time". |
