AuthorImportance of conserving hunts for the future?
With the current hunting rules, hunts are becoming more challenging faster than it was before. Joint hunts, which were supposed to replace the “halves” system, are rare because of the low population of the server. Reckless hunting at every opportunity you get, will certainly result in a roadblock for your character at a certain level, as seen with the character Kiaune.

As such, I feel it is important for a player to search for other avenues of experience and FSP. The most sound way of replacing your regular hunt battles is the hunt assist. These won’t increase your current hunt’s size and gives a sizeable FSP and a 0.1HG pts. But, these opportunities are rare at low levels as most players do solo hunts, and are also rare at high levels, due to the lower high level player’s population. So, it is important to jump into every hunt assist you can possibly get.

I am also of the opinion that Group Battles “Free for All” is a viable option to level up from level 1 – 5. Current conventional wisdom is that when a player’s HG is high in correlation to the combat level, the better. I think the opposite should be true in current circumstances. The LOWER the HG, the better. However, a new player should bear in mind that in order to thief at level 6 effectively, the HG should be of a decent level as well. I recommend getting HG3 at level 6, where a bonus of Attack +3 should be good enough.

At level 6 and above, thieving should the main way for a player to level up, instead of hunts. Hunts should be avoided when playing with your main faction. Instead, try to do hunts only when you change to a new faction.

Note that the above is my opinion only and should not be construed as the best way to level up or the popular opinion.
and or, find a partner, ask for hunt assist from each other, assistant kills all while hunter kills none, this way the hunt creature size doesnt increase and it can goes on forever, one downside is it will result in slow HG point building

wow, Straws, that's the most ingenious method I have ever heard :O
Definitely worth a try once you found a suitable partner.
well of course this should be done when the creature sizes arent big enough yet and possible for the assistant to kill them alone. and hunter should minimize their troop size to as little as possible, just enough to ask for assist, so the hunter doesnt kill much by unit retaliating etc. :3
it depends why you hunt.
if you hunt for those few gold coins that's OK, but if you go for records, you'll try and try and try until you break it :))
though since all levels until 10 are pretty short there's no time to put good records.
but from 10 up, story changes...

I prefer records instead of not puting up creature size

It's not about records, it's about how to get xp at lv13
This issue is very complicated really. You can't make general rules on how to play - because there are several factors to count. For example:
- Some factions are naturally better than others in hunting ( that also depends on specific creatures ). If you are a barbarian for ever, not asking for assists, and change at level 12-13 to dark elf , you will probably find a lot of hunts that were almost impossible before to solo - now can be done with minimum or low AP ( even with 0 faction ). And the opposite example: If you are an elf hunting with enchants etc and doing records and then change to demon - you won't be able to solo hunt for huge amounts of time - and even with assist you will be dependent too much on assistant for success.
- Pushing it too much with records at higher levels is also bad for your economy. If you start asking for assists at a decent creature size - you can get a lot of hunts that combine good xp and gold profit. If you are rich somehow ( there are several ways to do that ) then this factor can be safely ignored.
- I don't see an everlasting need to do hunts forever in the game really. There is also MG ( raids and monsters are way too many to increase fast - you can do those long after the rest quests become hard ) and thieves guild which is practically inexhaustible. And of course PvP can be played on higher levels too - maybe now it's a bit harder because of lower amount of high level players - but that won't be always the case. Problem with high level PvP at the moment is citadel. Level 12 is a natural huge wall that prevents level 11 players being competitive with level 12. The difference 12->13 is extremely lower ( 2% more army and 1 more talent usually and that's all ), and lately that we have several players above level 12, it's rather easy to find 1-2 group battles per day.
- All online PvM games including this one have a limitation. There will always be players that exhaust all content before admins are ready to release more. What you can do is rather simple... take a small break - play something else - enroll for a while and lose some ambushes to make caravans easier - also doing few easy monster/raid quests - wait for new stuff to be released. I don't see why people expect from a free game to give them content to play 16 hours per day non-stop.... You can also make an account on .ru if you are too bored and farm there too - it won't hurt you even without knowing the language.
- At some point new creatures will appear. Can't tell when, but they exist on .ru and their translation is a matter of time. Those new creatures will open up a lot of opportunities to do more hunts if you are stuck. There are at the moment more than 40 creatures on .ru not present here, that's pretty much 30-35% more hunters guild points compared to what you got at the moment ( maybe less if hunts start at a bigger size ). I would really advise when that time comes, to use that opportunity and do those hunts on a new faction- gain some easy fsp.
